  • classic example of the shows overall stories. bridget, kerry and rory growing up and paul attemtping to stop it!

i never really write about kate. i see myself just skipping over her in every reviews and to be honest even though her character is important. she never does anything that exciting that can be considered for writing in a review.

i found in this episode was the same. she gives so many one liners and helps out the others alot but yet doesn't get much credit.

nice episode. classic example of paul looking forward to a family halloween where as everyone else wants time with friends.

nice bit at the end with kyle. i think it hits paul then that whatever he does it always seems to fail (when it comes to stopping the girls grow up)
  • Good Episode. It was a pretty fnny Halloween in the Hennessey House.

First off this was the first ever episode of 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter with John Ritter in it that I have seen. I caught like 5 episodes at the end of the show when they were aired on ABC Family and now it is back at the beginning. Well John was pretty funny in this episode how he stuggles to get his kids to spend time with him. Bridget looked older here than she did in the last season in my opinion. Kerry and Rory were pretty funny in this episode as well. After watching the last season and how the mother was a main character in alot of the episode I saw she wasn't in too many of this episode.
  • A great halloween special!

This episode was a very good halloween special! I loved how Paul and the kids had different ideas in their heads for what they wanted to do on halloween.

    PROS:

    1) It was very funny, as always!

    2) I loved how Paul and the kids disagreed on what to do for halloween. Paul wanted to stick to an old family tradition of sleeping in the treehouse in the back and the kids just wanted to party.

    3) I liked the thing with Kyle showing up in the treehouse at the end of the episode looking for Bridget but then finding Paul instead and Paul starts like "Rule number one, when coming to see my daughter, only knock at the front door, you may get an answer you may not."

    CONS:

    1) The house could've been decorated a little more for the occasion i guess.

    Overall, a very enjoyable episode!
  • this gurter deminstrates how the kids are just ttrying to gain independence from the house and their parrents in general. Very good episode but could have been more serious to make it even better. After all kyle did not really need to be in the episode.

this gurter deminstrates how the kids are just ttrying to gain independence from the house and their parrents in general. Very good episode but could have been more serious to make it even better. After all kyle did not really need to be in the episode. kyle's part in the end when he climbs up the treehouse was not even nessasary. sure its for comic relief but really this would have been a much better charecter development episode for all of the cast if some of the jokes were cut out. But still it was a very nice first holiday episode.
  • Paul and the kids disagree on how to spend Halloween night.

Paul wants the family to spend the night together in the tree house, however the kids all feel that they have out grown the family tradition.

Bridgett wants to go to a party, Kerry wants to go to a friends, and Rory wants to go out trick or treating on his own so he can pull off some pranks.

Paul grounds all the kids and they wind up spending the night at home.

The family eventually all re groups in the parents bedroom during a late night storm.

I think this is a real cute and funny Halloween episode.

I like how throughout the episode Kyle (Bridget's boyfriend) keeps trying to find Bridget in the tree house and in the house. He is a such a clueless character.
