  • Antony & Cleopatra.

    7.0
    "Good"
This episode was just sort of continuing the arcs. After Spring Awakening, the drama teacher is organizing Antony & Cleopatra. Adrianna & Annie go for the same part... again. Annie doesn't get the part, Adrianna does. The rest of the episode, Annie just feels sorry for herself. Not enjoyable to watch. Dixon breaks up with Silver, claiming she's too intense. Adrianna can't accept the fact that she's pregnant, and when she does, she realizes it's too late to have an abortion. She has to have the baby. Naomi has to deal living with her father and his mistress. Of course, blackmail comes in to play, and she is living in a hotel by the end of the episode. Ty takes interest in to Adrianna, and we find out he is the father of the baby. Ryan returns only to kick Silver out of his class. So now Silver has to prove herself. She gets in the class by the end. Kelly is really starting to annoy me, she always seems to be creating drama when there is none. Ethan gets in a car crash by the end, while he's on the phone with Annie. Somehow, the cliffhanger wasn't great for me. Only because it was pretty obvious, he was going to be okay. So some eventful occurrences happened in this episode. But other than that, a bit of a filler.
  • Best episode so far.

Ryan Matthews returns to his job at West Beverly High, which causes a mixed reaction from all the students who gossip about his sudden departure and return, and his refusal to explain where he was or what happened to him troubles Kelly. Also, the school's drama department holds auditions for "Antony and Cleopatra", and Annie decides to read for the lead role. She was surprised to find Ty trying out for the play, and more surprised when Ethan auditions for a part. Meanwhile, Silver and Dixon continue to experience bumps in their relationship and Dixon breaks up with Silver. Naomi's mother moves to New York for some R&R, so Naomi has to move in with her dad and his much younger girlfriend at the beach house. When Naomi finds out he is having an affair with his realtor, she gets to move to a hotel. Elsewhere, Adrianna tells Naomi that Hank did not get her pregnant. She reveals that it was Ty (Annie's former love interest). Annie gets upset about not getting the role and decides not to go to the casting party. Though she changes her mind and calls up Ethan to come and pick her up. During their conversation on the phone Annie loses Ethan's voice only hearing sounds of glass shattering, cars honking and crashing. She calls out his name leaving unknown on what happened to Ethan. Best episode from season one, I loved every minute of it. Everything was perfect about it, just perfect. Can't wait for the next episode!

In this episode of 90210, the following happens. We open this episode, with Ryan retuning to work at the High School. So another school play comes around, and Annie wants to audition for the main role, the part of Cleopatra. After what she wrote about him on her blog and so Ryan has Silver transferred to another English class. Adrianna goes to another commercial audition and Naomi goes there with Kelly to meet her after it, to discuss the whole baby situation. Naomi tells her that she thinks that she should have an abortion, but Kelly thinks that she should think about having the baby and raising it herself or even adoption. When Naomi gets home, she learns from her father that the house is going on the market and that her mother isn't coming back, at least not yet. So Naomi goes to stay with her father and Gail at the beach house.

When Silver tells Kelly about Ryan kicking her out of his class, Kelly looks really angry at the fact that no one told her. Annie auditions with Ty, but she tells him that she and Ethan are together and suddenly Ty becomes a different person. Kelly goes to see Ryan, and soon learns the truth about why Silver was transferred out of the class, and she still stands by her sister. Then Ryan drops the bombshell, that soon he will be leaving the school. Adrianna arrives late for her audition s she went to the clinic about her pregnancy. Adrianna tells Naomi that the clinic told her that she can't have an abortion as she is too far along in the pregnancy. Soon Naomi tells her father that she knows he is sleeping with the person who is suppose to be selling their house and so she is moving into a hotel, until her mother comes back home. Adrianna soon tells Kelly and Naomi that Hank is not the father and then we all realise that Ty is the father. Dixon breaks up with Silver. Annie is gutted that she didn't get the lead part (it went to Adrianna), and so her parents talk to her about it. Annie rings Ethan, who is driving and she hears the car crashing. Does Ethan survive?

This was one of my favorite episodes!! It was really good!!! I can't believe that Adriana's pregnant!! Not to mention it's Tye's!!!!OMG!!!!!definitely revealing but I loved it.....Silver's sooo clueless!!!I wish that Navid didn't react like that when Adrianna told him about the baby! At least she told him before she had it!!!!lol...jk...I love Annie and Ethan as a couple but Ethan was weird this episode like u need to stay far far far far far away from acting buddy!!! LOL!! JK!!! But still a really good episode....Can't wait till the nxt one...i wonder if Adrianna will tell Tye about the kid? Will Silver find out about Dixon's feelings? Will Ethan drop out of the play? Who knows? Let's find out!!
  • Likeable characters get more development. Dull characters become boring as ever. Hated characters get their comeuppance!

I liked this episode despite how slow moving it seemed at points because we got to see some changes in our characters.

Naomi, who is one of my favorites, continues to be rough and disagreeable but in the end but she is still there for Adrianna even if the girls do squabble from time to time. I love how Naomi stands up to her dad. This is one girl who takes guff from no one, you hear?

Even Adrianna is starting to grow a little on me even though I wish she would get real about balancing her pregnancy and being in the school at the same time. I would hate to see Annie fill in for her again cuz let's face it the whole Annie/Ethan thing is becoming a total snore...not even Ty to save it. Speaking of which I thought Adrianna faked having sex with Ty so it was kind of a surprise to learn that he may be the baby daddy.

Didn't see much of the parents but I couldn't care less cuz they tend to be annoying.

As for Silver/Dixon: I was cheering Dixon on when he dumped Silver cuz let's face it, the way Silver completely flipped out on him just for confessing his love was just plain out immature and messed up. I don't care what her personal beliefs are (her personal agendas are driving me crazy) on the subject, you just don't do that to a guy who cares about you ever! Okay maybe I'm being a lil bit of a hypocrite about this because we're seeing this all from Dixon's POV. But he was being kicked like a dog by Silver after everything that's been going on. So maybe this will give Silver a chance to wake up and stop thinking about herself.

Interesting episode. Cliffhanger was a snore...ooh Ethan got into an accident? It was probably just a fender bender from the way it was directed.
  • wow is all i can say that episode was really emotional and crazy i just hope everything works out in everyone's favor!!!!!!!!!

OMFG!!!!! that was the saddest episode i've seen so far... i can't believe that naomi suggested that adrianna get an abortion that's not cool..... and that's not the worst part of the situation ty is the baby's father oh wow.... i feel sorry for the child... and really only come to find out she's to far along to have an abortion anyways.... she really needs to get it together before that baby comes.. then what the crap is Mr.Mathews problem? silver is a child, why are you taking out your fustrations on her she's not the only person who had something to say about him dipping in the kiddie pool as they say it.... she just choose to be the only person to publish her thoughts in a blog on the internet... also like i said before she's a child and children are going to say plaenty of things that they don't mean throughout their lifetime... but that doesn't mean you should get mad and take all of your fustrations out on them... and what is wrong wit dixon he broke poor little silvers heart i thought they were gonna be together forever that part was so sad but i got hope that they will get back together... finally what really made me cry was when eathan got into a car accident i surely hope he makes it because annie would be devastated without her baby eathan.. Now really this was no shocker that Naomi's daddy is cheating on the woman that her cheated on his wife with. and relly with the realtor.... can you say ewwwwww!!!!!!!!! there were just so many suprises in this episode cant wait for the next episode......
  • There is another school play to try out. Adrianna decides to keep her baby and the father is revealed. Ryan is back and changed.

First: So glad that Adrianna got the part of Cleopatra. Though Annie is probably the character we are suppose to like and the main character. Adrianna is definitely a better actress. Plus she is just much more interesting to watch.

I'm glad that Ethan tried out and was given the part of an eunich. I thought that was so charmingly cute. I'm sorry Annie was Cleopatra's favorite servant girl, but that was not a bad role. If anything Shakespeare's servants were always so much fun. They mocked the royalty and such. [Haven't read Cleopatra so not 100% sure for this particular play.]

Oh and Ty being the father (if the insinuation was picked up correctly) is just perfect! I was wondering what would happen in coupling for Adrianna. Also for Niaomi. The guy she was talking with seem to have dropped off the snow. Maybe they are not matching everyone up right away.

Lastly Silver. I think they are not following her personality. Its weird that the writer has changed her into this oblivious girl when it comes to Dixon's love. Isn't she suppose to be good at picking up hints? I might have misjudged her character, but that's just weird.
  • I didn't see that coming.

I really didn't think that it was going to be him that got into the car accident. I loved this episode. the drama was good. I felt so sorry for her not being able to have the choose of wether of not to keep the baby. I use to really like navid but I am really hating him now for not standing by her. I felt so sorry for silver I hope that work there stuff of cause I really like them together. I think this episode was so good because it set of a lot of development points and it kept the view on the edge to whole time.
  • This episode was amazing and a big improvement from the previous ones.

I really liked this episode! It is a huge improvement from the previous episodes. The storylines are very interesting. The acting has gotten much better too. Jessica Lowndes is an incredible actress! It is great to finally see her in the opening credits! It is about time she is a main character! Her scenes were amazing! I was shocked when it was too late for an abortion and when she revealed the baby's daddy, Ty. She was also great auditioning for Cleopatra.

Mr. Matthews is back. I didn't really like his attitude. It was mean to kick Silver out of his class to avoid Kelly. Luckily, Kelly put him back in his place.

Silver and Dixon broke up. It was pretty obvious but I was really sad because they were my favorite couple. I really want to see what happens after the break-up.

Ethan was the last person I would suspect to be in the car crash. It was Annie's fault. It doesn't look like he's dead but if he died I don't know how Annie would live with herself.

This episode was amazing! I can't wait to see the next one!
  • Drama for Annie and Adriana over a play, Ty returns, Ryan returns, Naomi's dad returns, Dixon and Silver break up.

    "Great"
This was a decent episode and an improvement on the previous one. Adrianna was brilliant in this. Not only was there tall the pregnancy drama, too late for an abotion, etc., but major revelations about how she spent her time with Ty. She was also excellent when she was auditioning for Cleopatra. Silver and Dixon broke up although this was fairly obviously going to happen. The show ended up with Annie on the phone to Ethan and then the sound of his car crashing. Makes me want to see what happens next even though Ethan is my least favourite character.
  • Annie tries to get a part in a play, Adrianna discovers the baby's daddy

    "Mediocre"
This episode actually wasn't half-bad, but I cannot believe they pulled the accident card at the end. It has been done to death, and just was not needed.

As for the rest of the episode, sure it could've used some Tabitha jokes, but it was a fairly entertaining edition. I am really starting to like Silver, and I cannot believe that something as geeky as writing a book report for a class she's not in is what made me a fan.

I like Naomi, but her conversations with Adrianna are always so awkward and her scenes tonight were not the least bit entertaining. I did like how the show acknowledged that Annie is only 16 by having her obsess over the part instead of buying a mansion or something insane that "kids" do on a lot of teen shows.

90210 is getting there, but it's still not an elite show.
  • Season 1, Episode 14.

    "Superb"
The return of Mr. Matthews causes a mixed reaction at West Beverly Hills High. Also, the drama department holds auditions for Antony and Cleopatra, and Annie decides to read for a role. I liked this episode. This show is entertaining, and the writers are very talented. However, I am just afraid that if they keep using all their great plots in the first season, that they will not have any good material by the third season. I liked that Mr. Matthews transferred Silver out of his class. Also, Mr. Matthews certainly does not look like he is only 23-years-old. Good episode, definitely. I liked how Adrianna can't have an abortion, even though it made her seem a little insensitive. Great episode!
  • Annie and Ethan join the school play; both Mr. Matthews and Ty Collins make a return; Adrianna struggles to make a choice about her baby; Naomi's parents continue to be train wrecks; Dixon and Silver run their relationship into the ground.

    7.5
    "Good"
This episode was not bad at all! It really feels like this show is improving. The storylines are pretty interesting right now, and the acting has been improving a lot -- especially with Shenae Grimes. Originally, she was painful to watch with her over-the-top facial expressions. Tonight, for the first time, I really felt like she was Annie Wilson -- a character, someone I could watch and find believable. Kudos to Grimes for that!

Ryan Matthews returned to the scene with his dry, moody sense of humor. He's not exactly my favorite character. It was fun to watch Kelly put him in his place, though! I have a feeling he will end up involved in some pretty juicy lady problems soon. The guy's a womanizer! It's a nice direction for at least one of the male characters on the show -- even if it has to be a teacher.

Harry and Debbie Wilson didn't do much this episode, but Annie? Whew. What a whiny little thing she is lol! She was sooking after not earning the coveted title role in West Beverly's rendition of 'Cleopatra'. Why should viewers care? Well, we don't. But her moodiness set Ethan up for a car crash by the end of the episode, which might lead to him FINALLY having a bit of character development. Plus, her acting was believable in this episode. I truly see some potential in Grimes for '90210', finally.

Dixon and Silver... meh. I'm kind of not interested in them right now. I get the feeling both characters will be more interesting on their own -- Dixon with his troubled childhood, and Silver with her alcoholic mother (and constant need to assert herself lol). Some time down the road, it would be good to see these kids reunite. For now, a break is probably just what they need.

Adrianna Tate Duncan! Jessica Lowndes, if you're reading, you should know you took my breath away with your short 'Cleopatra' soliloque. She's incredible! I was genuinely surprised by her storyline, too. Turns out she ruined Annie's relationship with Ty and LIED about it, when viewers believed she actually came clean after having a guilty conscience. Good writing! Adrianna used to be a drug addict. Now we all get to wonder what Ty's excuse could be lol. In the meantime, Adrianna could not get an abortion because she was too far along. What will she do? I'm really liking this storyline right now.

Naomi and her train wreck parents are up to more drama now. I love AnnaLynne McCord in this role, honestly. The storyline is pretty unrealistic -- a 16 year old living on her own in a hotel? Not likely. But the entertainment value for her storyline is bound to keep me coming back for more. My single favorite moment from this episode would probably be Naomi's cheery little breakfast with Gail, her father's mistress lol.

The bottom line? '90210' finally seems like it's turning up the heat. It's really coming into its own, and I think it will just keep getting better from here on.
