Well I was astonished at how good this episode was for a Valentine's Day special. Annie continues to be unbearable to watch with her unsettling eye rolls and discomforting facial expressions to Rhonda, when Rhonda has done nothing wrong. Rhonda opens her heart to Ethan & Annie and Annie uses it as material for her acting class? Annie has become the crutch to Ethan & Annie's relationship. Ethan has to get out now, and maybe Annie could be likable again like she was in the beginning of the series. Rhonda & Ethan go to the dance together, due to mixed signals, Rhonda kisses him, only to face rejection. Everything is pretty much up in the air by the end of the episode. Silver & Naomi reconnect while planning the Valentines Day date for Dixon. Naomi meets Liam at a bar, who she takes a liking too, only to find out he goes to her school. Looks like they were both lying about who they appeared to be. Silver & Dixon have sex for the first time, Silver's stirred emotions about love soon seem to be going out of control when she gets a "Dixon" tattoo. Navid & Adrianna get back together... finally. That Micah girl annoyed me. Surprisingly, a really great episode which was definitely eventful for the cast.

Everyone is trying to decide what to do for Valentines Day. Some are going to the dance, some are having dinner, one is lonely and doing nothing, and one is hoping for a new encounter. Ethan and Rhonda are getting closer as the dismay of Annie. Silver is trying to make reservations for Dixon and herself at the restaurant that Naomi is staying at and failing at every attempt. When she realizes that there are tables for hotel guests, she talks Naomi into making reservations for her. Naomi in the meantime has met a new bartender and Silver gives her the idea to send him a bottle of wine and to meet her somewhere. Navid is going to the Valentines dance with his new girlfriend and Adrianna is staying home alone.

Annie is in acting classes and it is not going very well. Her instructor is telling her she needs to draw from more inner pain. While Annie, Ethan, and Rhonda are hanging out, Rhonda tells a story of pain that she went through at another school which ended in her attempting suicide. The night of the Valentines dance Annie is a acting class and the instructor wants her to tell a painful story and she uses Rhonda's story, unknowingly with Ethan watching on. Ethan is very mad at her for using someone else's story. Ethan storms out of the dance and meets Rhonda, where they dance and have a good time. After the dance Ethan walks Rhonda to her car and she kisses him and he pushes her away saying he has a girlfriend. Rhonda is hurt and drives away.

Silver and Dixon have a great dinner, but Silver gets upset over some chocolate cake. When Dixon gives her a Valentines Day present, she forgets about the cake and suggests that they get a room and stay for the night (use your own imagination here). The next time they are at school, Silver is very clingy of Dixon and they are about to be late for class. He puts his hand on her waist and she winces in pain. He asks her what is wrong and she shows him a tattoo of his name on her waist. Dixon is shocked.

Naomi waits for the bartender to show up but he never does. The next day in school, principle Wilson introduces a new student to the class that Naomi is in. It turns out to be the bartender who was suppose to be going to school the whole time; his name is Liam Court.

Adrianna stays at home all night on Valentines Day. She doesn't go out with friends or go to the dance. She is feeling very alone and isolated being pregnant. She gets awaken with Navid knocking on her door. He tells her she is pregnant, a drug addict, and has what he hopes is chocolate all over her face and all he wants for her to be his Valentine. He kisses her. It is nice to see that they may be back together again.

Naomi, comfortable with her new living situation, is immediately taken by Liam (guest star Matt Lanter, "Heroes"), a hot bartender at her hotel. Sparks begin to fly between the two but Naomi is confused by the mystery that surrounds Liam. Silver gets extremely upset when her surprise Valentine's Day dinner for Dixon doesn't go as planned, but the two find a way to make the date a moment to remember. Annie becomes increasingly jealous of Ethan and Rhonda's (Aimee Teegarden) close connection and takes advantage of information about Rhonda's past in order to benefit herself, causing Ethan to confront her about her terrible actions. Adrianna doesn't have a date for the dance and decides to spend the night loading up on chocolate, until she hears a surprise knock on her door. Another awesome episode from 90210. I have to say I hate Rhonda, I think she should go away. However, I liked everything else about this episode. Can't wait to see the next episode!
  • This is by far the most awesome episode that I've ever seen in 90210. different emotions found here.

Silver, claims that she loves Dixon when she went to the party where Dixon and is and she was ranting about Love. On the other hand, Annie is very desperate of having the main role Cleopatra so she went to acting class. Ethan and Rhonda are getting along very well despite the fact that Rhonda admits that she was taking advantage of Ethan. Naomi flirts with the new bartender in the hotel which she is now living. Adrianna claims to be pregnant and the father is Ty Collins. He supports Adrianna and wants her to adopt the baby. Perfect episode!

In this episode of 90210, the following happens. Its valentines time in Beverley Hills, and love seems to be in the air. Rhonda is back at school and Ethan is still with her all of the time and he is even carrying her bags for her. Soon she feels guilty about this and admits the truth to Ethan. Rhonda soon tells Annie and Ethan a heartbreaking story, in which she tried to kill herself with sleeping tablets. Alas it failed and she moved to West Beverley High School. Later that same day in her acting class, Annie tells Rhonda's story as though it was her own. But when she looks up she sees that Ethan is standing there and he walks away. Then they have an argument about it. Dixon and Silver go out for their Valentines meal, which ends with them agreeing to get a room. Rhonda ends up going to the dance and spends most of it with Ethan. At the end of it, they kiss, but as soon as it happens Ethan regrets it. Navid goes round to see Adriana and they end up kissing. The next day at school, Silver shows Dixon that has had his name tattoo on her. Naomi's favourite bartender is now at West Beverley's High School, as a student.
  • I'm in shock. That must have been the dummest episode of any show since the end os Dawson's Creek! Everything about it was simply ridiculous...

...starting from the weird love triangle around Annie, Ethan and crash-girl heading straight towards the brain-washed silver and her new tattoo. There are kknown to be filler-episodes during mide-seasons that exist just to keep the flow going until the real drama starts towards the end of the season, but with that kind of storyline, the name of the mother of all high school shows is put to shame. I mean seriously, getting a tattoo with the name of the guy you dated for a week or so or making a big dilemma around a story everybody knows somebody whom that happend to and using it in a acting class? Aren't that kind of shows supposed to give normal people like ourselves the feeling of the rich kids having real problems, too? With this show you just get the impression they don't have any real trouble and therefore make stuff up to pass the boredom by. All wrapped in huged expressions and you got the same feeling as when Dawson climbed into Joey's window and comitted to eternal love at the age of eleven...

OMG...... this episod ehad 2 be one of my most favorites so far i mean i am so happy that silver finally came around and let dixon and and admit that she loves him...... but i think losing her virginity was a little bit to much...... i thought it was funny though when she flipped out on the waitress because they loss her order for the chocolate cake it was just bottom line hilarious...... and when naiomi met liam that was so cut but seriously how was naomi supposed to know that he was under aged you're working in a bar so apprently you had to be at least 21 but looks can be decieving as to how old you are but i got to give it to naomi liam is hottt.......... and this whole eatha and rhonda thing just had to stop some time i mean he's better off with annie any way their supposed to be together forever...... but i dont blame him for being mad at annie because what she did was wrong because that was someone's personal life story and she used it for her own personal gain that's just pathetic...... but how can rhonda be mad at eathan he never ever told her that he had broke up with annie she just assumed that he did..... and annie should handle that because i wouldn't want another girl trying to get with my boyfriend...... and i am so happy that navid finally came to his senses and got back with adrianna because pregnancy and depression don't mix....and besides they make a cute couple any way..... i think that navid might want to be the father of her baby........ but anyways i just can't wait for the next episode.......

Adrianna's baby bump is the major topic of conversation among the gossip mongers of West Beverly High. --- I didn't see what the big deal was. Everyone in high school gets pregnant nowadays. It's common. Who cares, really?

Navid continues to ignore Adrianna. --- Wow. I mean, I know he's upset and everything, but he should be supporting her. It's understandable, though.

Silver is psychotic. She's obsessed with loving Dixon. I liked the scene at the restaurant, though. I liked the scene when Naomi was in the hotel and got room service. It was just so cool. It stood out for some reason. Cool episode.

Finally is saw some real emotions on this 90201. all the previous things were so artificial. I guess this was the first time I enjoyed Silver and Dixon's relationship, except the ending part, where she revealed she's got tattoo with his name on it. wow, that was freaky, crazy and mad even for her. ooh, I hate that lil blond chick, who had got in the car accident, she's so.... annoying. I have a feeling that she's just playing an innocent lamb, but we'll see it. In this episode AnnaLynne McCord surprised me. in a good way, though. she portrayed Naomi so good and flawless that one moment I even started to believe that they are the same. I kinda couldn't understand those acting classes cause it seemed to me that Annie did everything that that teacher asked for her, but he wasn't happy about her performance. Hmm.. and Ethan.... he was such a jerk!!!! to broke up with a girl on Valentine's day, really "smart" move. He even screwed head to two girls and didn't understand himself what the hell we was doing. But although for a long time I enjoyed this episode.
  • Putting Kirshner at the helm is already proving to be a good decision

I was thrilled with this installment. It is leaps and bounds better that past episodes and already the new writing team is proving their excellence. The opening scene was just brilliant. I loved watching Naomi act as if the world was at her fingertips, and embrace her totally spoiled existence. It was a total vicarious thrill and exactly the reason I watch shows like this... because no matter how much money one might have, unless you live in L.A or NYC you just don't get this kind of treatment. Watching how the rich and famous live is like peering through a window into a world most never get to experience. 90210 needs to remember that and capitalize on it. No more skinny Seven jeans please - I want to see the Prada, Vuitton and Balenciaga please. As for storylines, I was very happy to see the writers have the guts to make Ms Perfect (otherwise known as Annie) do something so imperfect, shallow, and self serving. She always plays like sugar wouldn't melt in her mouth, so having her use someone else's hurt to her own gain was a strong choice. I was also thrilled to see Rhonda admit her dishonesty, although I have to agree with another reviewer that her victim act is more than a bit irritating. Not putting the parents to so much use is also a huge thumbs up. The parents should be the background characters, not forerunners. Boring parental drama is a sure way to get me to switch the channel, post hasty. If they want to give Rob and Lori so much screen time then how bout spinning them off into the next Melrose Place? Kay thanks. ALthough I do miss Tabitha. She can stay. :)

I was thrilled to see Adrianna and Navid reunite although it happened kinda fast. And the chocolate smeared all over Ade's face was kinda nasty, although I understand why the writers chose to do it - to physically show Adrianna's messed up life and Navid's utter acceptance of it. Still, I just didn't like it. What I did like was the addition of Matt Lanter (Liam) to the show. He is absolutely GORGEOUS, and I can tell he's got the whole Dylan McKay bad boy vibe going on - so I am really looking forward to seeing more of him. The show needs some major boy toy eye candy (Sorry Ethan/Dixon fans) and it desperately needs a bad boy. I think Liam fits the bill nicely. Im probably in the minority here when I say that the only part of the show I didn't like was the Dixon/Silver reunion. Don't get me wrong Vixen is my favorite couple on this show and I DO want them together. And I loved last week's reunion. But Silver's over the top, "I'm so in love Hallmark Style" was seriously just gross. I feel as if Silver is losing her edge - losing the Silverness that made her so awesome. I mean, she's hanging out with NAOMI - what has happened? I don't want loving Dixon to rob her of what makes her who she is. I want the show to explore who they are as individuals and have them fly solo for awhile, so when they finally do reunite it will be that much more meaningful. But that's just me.
  • Valentine's Day episode - love is all around, but not for everybody.

    7.0
    "Good"
Since Silver discovered she is in love with Dixon in the last episode she has gone totally overboard with it, almost to the point of embarrassment. The Ethan, Annie and Rhonda triangle was also pretty excruciating throughout this episode. I liked Adrianna and Navid getting back together, it was really sweet when he asked her to be his Valentine. Naomi fancied a barman who turned out to be a boy who was supposed to start at her school in her class. She upset his mum when she sent champagne and a note round to his house giving away his secret that he was working at the hotel instead of joining theb school. Hope things get better next episode.
  • Naomi finds a new crush; Adrianna and Navid have some unresolved tension; Silver gives Dixon a Valentine's Day surprise; Ethan and Rhonda get even closer to each other; Annie struggles with acting, and betrays a friend's secret.

    7.0
    "Good"
This episode ran circles around last week's show. The outfits were stylish, as were the sets and environment. It felt like high-end L.A, especially Naomi's hotel.

Adrianna continued to be interesting. Navid was a huge jerk and insulted Adrianna in the hallways, which she overheard. This incident caused the two to reconnect, and now it seems they are a couple again. I'm glad because they have good on screen chemistry. The only acting tip I have for Michael Steger would be to work on the 'quirky' aspect of his character -- sometimes the lines are too outlandish for Steger so he basically sounds like he's just reading them off paper. He does soft, gentle scenes very well, though, in particular his pitch to Adrianna to get her back in his life.

Rhonda and Ethan continued to bond this episode. There's something about that Rhonda girl I really dislike -- she's such a victim all the time, and I think she's working it for all she can get. However, Ethan rebuffed her at the dance, after leading her on the whole episode. She should have seen it coming -- after all, when they went shopping, they were shopping for a Valentine's Day gift for Annie. Get with it, Rhonda lol!

Here's the big surprise -- Annie was ENJOYABLE last night. I mean that, sincerely. She was shallow, betrayed a friend's secret, and wallowed in self pity. It's not like any of those qualities are good things, but I actually felt a real, raw emotional connection between the character and the events. She was by far, in my opinion, the most entertaining part of last night's episode.

Naomi found a new man -- er, boy. In a big twist I had not seen coming, Naomi's handsome bartender crush turned out to be her new classmate. Turns out he dropped out of school to work at a bar, and now his mother knows all about his lie. He seems like he's going to develop in to an interesting character. Also, seeing Naomi work that hotel was just a lot of fun! AnnaLynne McCord did a good job of making it apparent that Naomi feels powerful and pampered -- which she is and beyond lol!

Dixon and Silver are once again back together, and Silver was OBSESSED with Dixon last night. They had sex, which was alright with me -- after all, the writers made sure to show us they had a condom and everything. But next, Silver yanked out her belly and showed Dixon a tattoo she had done of his name. She's starting to get TOO intense for me to like, personally... I think the character of Silver has an awful lot of growing up to do. I still believe both characters would be more gripping if they flew solo for a while, and dealt with their own drama. (Ex. Dixon's troubled childhood, and Silver's alcoholic mother)

The bottom line? This episode was enjoyable, and I honestly felt transported to another place. The writing was tons better than last week, the dialogue was good, and the acting has been picking up. Annie's storyline was the sneak attack last episode, and once again I am looking forward to next Tuesday night.
  • Watch One Tree Hill much?

    5.0
    "Mediocre"
Oh man the bartender is in high school? I can't believe how original this show is. Oh wait, I remember One Tree Hill did something similar. Brooke met a guy on the internet and it turned out he was her new teacher. But I'm sure it's just a coincidence, right? It's not like the shows are on the same network or something. Oh wait...

Besides that this episode was nothing special. Silver's sudden personality change is not endearing and just does not make sense, but congratulations to Dixon for finally getting with that.

This Annie/Ethan/Rhonda love triangle is also terrible as well. Both girls are at fault and being a little annoying.

And where was Tabitha? Just not a good showing from 90210.
