Raynor infiltrates a gang intent on flooding the country with cheap Russian weapons.
  • A great episode from a much under-rated show.

This show was one of many new series to come out in the creative chaos that marked the run-up to the review of the ITV franchises in the UK. Everyone was trying to make their mark and a lot of the shows, like this one, got lost in the scrum. This episode, one of two excellent pieces of work by Jonathan Rich, deserved better. It was an exciting, character-driven story about cheap guns flooding the streets of London and has since, sadly, proved to be all to wise in its prediction. With a more bankable and charismatic lead than Leslie Grantham, and with more quality writing like this, the series would still be running.moreless
