So I eagerly brought the special edition DVD of this show when it came out, you know, the one with the fluffy casing which, when the case is put in properly, it makes the Bear's face, in one of two expressions.
But anyway, the show.
It's funny. As a fan of Bo' Selecta and of dirty, simple humour in general, I love this. For those who don't, you might want to back off.
It takes an original view of a sitcom family, where as the bear can actually talk to the script writer, and even quit the show when he doesn't get his way. It makes the show that little bit funnier, and, as I've said, gives it that bit of originality which I like about it.
Leigh Francis has a gift for coming up with the best characters, all with their own unique quirks which make them hiliarious. Take Keith LeMon, businessman of the year '93, who quite often talks to himself and intrudes into the sitcom! or Corey Haim, the Indian movie buff who delievers Chinese food, but when he doesn't do that, he hangs about in the local movie rental store and gives impressions of business class movies!
