The ultra-energetic Charmaine asks to watch Whitley and write about her for a class paper. Unfortunately, it may turn into the worst week of Gilbert's year. Her boss reveals that the business, lagging in earnings after failing to complete a merger, no longer has room for its newest agent, and last hired is first to be shown the door. Despite this disaster, Dwayne swears he'll keep the couple afloat.

Meanwhile, four one-time friends try to seal a peace treaty with a dinner at home. Ron, Freddie, Kim and Shazza try to pretend that all is water under the bridge, but the facade doesn't work; old sparks die hard, and the former partners are soon jousting for a shot at a reunion.

A funny episode about bad luck and the way you can't kill real love. No matter how hard you try.
