Whitley finally lucks into a job in her dream field as an art buyer. And promptly lucks back out of it again.
Her first day features an overenthusiastic bid for a work by a promising young painter. The boss does not appreciate the gaffe, and Gilbert just as quickly learns what it's like to be behind the eight ball. How will she get back into her supervisor's good graces?
Freddie, meanwhile, branches out with a dream of her own, hosting a campus radio show--and has just the same rude awakening when her laborious philosophical ramblings fail to attract callers. Anxious to avert failure, she makes up a fake but boisterous identity, the pretend Jamaican Mother Eartha, who rattles off pithy advice and brings in fans galore.
It's fun to see the characters switch gears and have to work like mad to stay afloat. A good-natured episode where turnabout is fair play.moreless
