  • Quotes

    • Dean: Of corse, the problem with a prospective student is that they sleep late, socialize, have a thouroughly delightful time. In a sense they become victims of false advertising. It ain't easy once you get here.
Theo: Well, I realize that Hillman is a very tough school.
Dean: It's a butt-kicker! Now I don't mean to scare you off, there will come a night, probably in your first semester, when it'll be 3:00 in the morning. You'll find you have 200 pages to read by daybreak. You have no clean clothes, you haven't eaten since breakfast, and that will be the moment when you will pull your head up from your books and ask yourself, "Why am I here?"
Theo: So, uh, what do you think of the University of Hawaii?

    • [Theo has a whole suitcase full of clothes]
Denise: You brought all those clothes for just one weekend?
      Theo: I have different looks.

  • Notes

    • This is the last episode with Lisa Bonet (Denise). Over the summer, Bonet found out she and Lenny Kravitz were expecting a child and she ended up returning to The Cosby Show, where she continued playing Denise throughout her pregnancy.

    • The Huxtable house can be seen in this episode.

    • This is the last episode with Marisa Tomei (Maggie). She went on to various roles and in 1992 she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for playing the role of Mona Lisa Vito in the film My Cousin Vinny.

    • This episode was most likely filmed even before the pilot. Reasons for this are; Jasmine Guy and Kadeem Hardison are not listed in the cast, Ted Ross plays Dean Harris and is a show regular, and Vernee Watson-Johnson plays the Gilbert Hall resident director, named Carla Meyers.
