A Different World

Kim is struck with that eternal dilemma of the student, how to come up with enough cash to meet the bills. So she accepts a job at a place where she's guaranteed to have an audience, if not someone to talk to: a funeral parlor. The pre-med student isn't thrilled about it, but her friends at Hillman are even more worried. They determine to bail her out.



Whitley and Freddie get everyone at the campus hangout to chip in. Kim finds out and hates the idea, as she doesn't want to rely on someone else. Everyone needs help once in a while, though, and Mr. Gaines tells Kim there's no shame in accepting a loan from him and his wife. She'll have plenty of time to pay it off when she's raking in the cash as a doctor.



Meanwhile, Ron and Dwayne have their own chances to learn about the ins and outs of earning money, as they do a stint in a commercial. Only problem is, they'll be facing two former basketball stars for a mock game. And there's not that much 'former' about them either.
