EDIT
Desperately Seeking Louisa
AIRED:
This is a redo of the original pilot episode with small differences, with Christopher Cazenove playing the part of Michael Trent, which Anthony Andrews played in the pilot. Since he could not take the part after the show was sold, Chris. Cazenove was hired for the role. They used nearly the same script to see how it played with a different actor. The result was very pleasing. In Paris, production of "Ticket to Ride" is held up while Louisa tries to talk Michael into returning to the show to work. She is also trying to scuttle his marriage plans with Anne Biddle. Then, Anne is kidnapped, and the two work together to get her back. Adding to the plot are a group of men trying to retrieve a stolen etching hidden away after the war, a case of mistaken identity, and a tuba.moreless

    • TRIVIA (1)

    • QUOTES (3)

      • Louisa: As for the cabbies, they divided the pot equally among themselves, no hard feelings, which is what I love about the French.

      • Louisa: (After being rescued from having been pushed in the pathway of an oncoming bus) Whoever did that, you'd better know now that I'm from Queens!

      • Louisa: Come on, Michael, I suppose you've never said you'd give your right kidney for someone, but when it was time for the old transplant, you were in Fiji without a phone.

    • NOTES (1)

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Louisa: "Whoever did that, you better know now that I'm from Queens!"
This is a reference to the fact that a lot of the 'families' of organized crime (sometimes known as the Mafia) live in the borough of Queens, in N.Y. Louisa often referred to various uncles who had Italian sounding names (Gino, Dino, etc.) indicating that she was 'connected', and whoever had tried to kill her would be in big trouble!
