Louisa:(After being rescued after an unknown assailant pushes her in front of an approaching train) Whoever did that, you better know now I'm from Queens!
Karl Kruger: You said, 'Once you have found her, never let her go.'
Rosanno: I know what I said.
When the show was aired in the UK, it went under the title 'Ticket To Ride' in order to avoid confusion with the highly successful British situation comedy 'A Fine Romance' starring Judi Dench and Michael Wiliams.
Baseball references: l) It was the year Don Mattingly hit 6 grand slams...
2)I want my ashes scattered over 2nd base in Yankee Stadium!
3)Louisa wore a NY Yankees t-shirt and baseball cap.
Anthony Andrews played the part of Michael Trent in this pilot episode, which was played by Christopher Cazenove in the regular season. His Michael Trent was much more volatile than that of Mr. Cazenove, making Louisa the more sympathetic character in this episode only. It was basically the same plot as "Desperately Seeking Louisa",(the first show to be aired on tv) but filmed in Rome instead of Paris.
Louisa refers to the year Don Mattingly hit 6 grand slams. That year was in fact 1987 when he set the single-season record.
