Michael gets back in touch with an old friend, Gene, who had recently fallen in love while traveling in India. After Gene collapses, Michael takes him in for treatment while his mother and new girlfriend squabble as they both take care of the important man in their life. A new patient comes back with a link to one of Kate's old patients.

- 1/6/12A young boy with hypochondriac tendencies returns to Clinica Sananda, only this time he's not making things up and Michael finds a three-month old prescription in the medical room which is for one of Anna's house-bound patients. Meanwhile, Zeke pressures Michael to allow himself to be examined for what Michael brushes off as a pulled muscle from a hockey game, but in the end his foolish bravado may end up costing him a lot more that ice time.moreless

At Holt Neuro Michael has to treat a patient very close to Rita while at the Clinica Sanando Kate and Zeke find themselves in a precarious situation after saving a patient's life.

The Gifted man is an outstanding technical doctor, but his people skills need work. This week while saving a woman with unexplainable brain lesions, he deals with people barely making ends meet. While he might be God's gift to medicine, respecting everyone will require help from Anna.

Michael continues to worry people at his hospital and upset people at Anna's clinic. After people show up at his personal clinic looking for free health care, Michael ends up at Anna's memorial service and starts meeting people in her life. Before he can leave, though, a young boy arrives with a hurt elbow, which turns out to be infected and the child's life goes downhill from there. Meanwhile at Michael's practice he has both good and bad news for a family friend and his wife, as she's pregnant but also has a brain tumor.

When Michael Holt runs across his ex-wife Anna Paul, he invites her to join him for dinner and the two share a nice evening. When Michael calls her clinic the next day, he is stunned to find out that she died two weeks prior. Anna begins to visit him from the afterlife regularly telling him that she died in a car accident and has left much work undone. She asks him to help continue running her clinic, which caters to low income patients.
Michael decides that he cannot handle Anna's visits and asks a find of his sister Christina's to exorcise her ghost from his life. But when the times comes to say goodbye, is he ready to let her go forever?
