The episode starts out as Big Business (Cole Mining) vs the local tree huggers. At a public meeting, the main landholder who had indicated that he would sell his family farm (several generations) abruptly changes his mind and refuses to sell, effectively scuttling the project.
The tree huggers go to the pub to celebrate, and the new hero (a lady's man) celebrates with them. The next morning he is murdered. What follows is the vicious triangle so well known in small towns, Love, lust, and in this case family land.
