Peaceable Kingdom was a family drama in which Lindsay Wagner played Rebecca Cafferty, a single mom who was trying to balance the demands of her almost 24-hour-a-day zoo director job at the Los Angeles County Zoo with the needs of her 3 kids aged 6-16 (Dean a high school wrestler, daughter Courtney and young Sam)...in addition to their pet seal, Rover. Luckily for Rebecca, her family has a house on the zoo grounds. What with one crisis after another, Rebecca is always on call, so helping her out at the zoo are Tom Wopat as her brother Dr. Jed McFadden - curator, David Renan as Ridge and Dr. Bart Langley (David Ackroyd), the zoo's research director. Assisting both at home and work is Kate (Conchata Ferrell). Each episode dealt with crises (both family and zoo related) and a moral.moreless
