A Program About Unusual Buildings & Other Roadside Stuff

Show Summary

A Program About Unusual Buildings & Other Roadside Stuff follows tour guide Rick Sabek as he visits some of the most unusual roadside buildings in America. This PBS documentary features the many wildly unique roadside attractions that are designed to catch your eye and lure you inside. Travel to Flanders, New York to see the Big Duck that is used as a shop to sell ducks and duck eggs. Go south to Lexington, Kentucky to see the Bondurant's Pharmacy building shaped like a giant 30-foot high mortar and pestle. In Florida, stop by the upside down building of Wonderworks, an amusement park for your mind. The fish-shaped National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame & Museum in Wisconsin is truly unforgettable. On the west coast, stop at the hot dog-shaped Tail o' the Pup in Los Angeles. This architectural journey across the country proves that something mind-bending is just around the corner.
