  • Great flick if you get used to the accents...

    8.0
I was flipping through the channels in the middle of the night and caught this show halfway through episode 4. Remarkable, then, that I was hooked despite the fact that I had missed the better part of the series AND am not a native English speaker, so the accents are a real challenge.

Still, as soon as I saw Paula binging on Indian food, I put down the remote. I have rarely come across such an accurate portrayal of desperate energy. With that single scene, she puts most of Hollywood to shame.

The series might not have the most original storyline or be technically innovative but the acting is superb and it's worth watching for that alone. I just hope BBC releases it on DVD soon so I can watch the first three episodes as well.
