  • The reason why the monsters need to scare.

In this half-hour episode, the Gromble warns the class that they have been lacking in scaring recently, doing other things, as told to him by a meter in the Pool of Elders. He warns that if they do not scare, they may start to "disappear." Nobody believes him, until Ickis notices his hand is mysteriously gone. Then the monsters start to literally disappear, losing various body parts. Really freaky stuff if you're a little kid. So it is up to Ickis' head and Krumm's eyeless body to save the day.

It's really a genius concept: Either you scare, or you disappear until you're dead and gone.
