Yesterday About a Boy got renewed. Now, we can use this discussion to discuss things such as what timeslot it will be put in when NBC announces their schedule tomorrow and, once the season is over, what we expect from season two. Also, you can use it to express your total exuberance over the renewal.
In tonight's episode "About a Boy's Dad" we met Marcus's dad who is obsessed with penguins and is irresistible to Fiona. His character started off being portrayed in a funny way, but it suddenly got more serious when he leaves in the middle of the night on a penguin-related emergency, and misses Marcus's field day. The scene where he was leaving was just so heartbreaking, and I felt so bad for Marcus and especially for Fiona. I actually even cried. This show, only ten episodes in, has made me cry. What are your thoughts on that scene or on Marcus's dad?
