If you prefer character-driven crime drama to a glitzy procedural, you will love this! British crime dramas always keep it simple: sets, colours and camera work, and relay on the actors and the script for suspense. It's less a whodunit show, and more of "how to catch the killer", as the story focuses on the gritty and ugly daily work of a young, female homicide detective. It has an excellent cast that really brings story to life. Ciarán Hinds is over 20 yrs older than Kelly Reilly, but there is onscreen chemistry between them! So, I highly recommend this series.
