Show Summary

Absence of War is a 1995 British dramatic TV movie directed by Richard Wyre, which was based on a 1993 play of the same name by playwright David Hare. George Jones (John Thaw) is a politician who wants to make changes for the greater good in Britain. However, when he chooses to run for a prominent political office, his values and morals are tested in ways he did not predict. Can he gain the office without losing sight of who he truly is?
