  • An amazing Ab Fab episode.

It's a rare thing when a show rises above itself. That thing happened in this episode. We got to see how selfish, brutal and yet funny, hilarious and outstanding both Eddie and Patsy are. I enjoyed watching this episode from the beginning (when the two woman were dancing alone together in the room) to the very end. Every scene was funny and hilarious. I think I have never laughed as loud before. The ending was also pretty amazing. First they were trying to get out of the car normally (which of course, they didn't succeed in) and then they both fell into a grave. This is a true Ab Fab classic episode and it will always be remembered as one of its best.moreless
  • The best

This is why I watch this series. It is one of the episodes that shows just how deep down selfish Edina truly is. It also shows just how much she and Patsy are symbiotic parasites on each other. Patsy doesn't want Eddie to die, but if she does, she is going to get the house and the car right.

Eddie finally realizes that she may one day dies too....but that's not fair when she thinks of all the time and money she's put into her body. She has to live on past everyone else she knows.

Poor Saffy is forced to hold it all together once again. Gran is to loony to deal with the messy details of buring her husband and Eddie didn't even know her father was still alive.

Oh and Patsy has to be picked up from the hospital again, if you've seen it which you should have, enough said.moreless

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Eddie: I mean, what's the point of grieving if there's no one there to see you do it?

    • Eddie: This is... This is a, sort of... corpse... in an open, oaken, oblong coffin... Silky lining. It's a dead body, Pats.
Patsy: Yeah, but is it art, Eddie?
Eddie: No, sweetie, it's my father.
      Patsy: Are you sure?
Eddie: Yeah, I think so. But I've just never seen him in a suit before.

    • Saffy: Grandad has died! Is that all you can do, all you can say? Don't you think Gran needs a little bit more?
Gran: Oh, don't drag me into it dear. She's doing her best, I'm sure. Now don't you get yourself into a state.
Saffy: Your father is dead. What does that make you feel, mom? (Edina is smiling)...And you can stop smirking!

    • Edina: My body absorbs mud! Every pore is now an overeater.

  • NOTES (2)

    • Both of the girls falling into the graves wasn't planned until the last moment. The original plan was for just Eddie to fall into her father's coffin, and Patsy fall in with her trying to pull her out.

    • This episode was supposed to air 4th in the series, but was bumped to 2nd by the BBC when "Hospital" didn't turn in the ratings they were expecting.

    • Eddie: Life is a mystery, everyone must stand alone. I hear you call my name and it feels like home.
This is the opening verse from Madonna's 1989 hit "Like A Prayer". The song was the first single released from the Madonna album of the same name and is best known for its featuring of a gospel choir and for its controversial music video which attracted criticism for its use of Catholic iconography and cross burning imagery.
