    • TRIVIA (3)

      ADD TRIVIA
      • In the press, while Saunders was writing "Menopause", there had been a lot of pictures of Madonna watching Guy Ritchie wash his car. Edina washes her own car at the beginning of the episode in hopes that Madonna will happen to drive past, see they have something in common and start talking to her.

      • The green jacket Edina wears in this episode has "Patsy" down the right arm and "Eddy" down the left.

      • Freeze frame fun! When Saffy rips off the "patch" from Patsy's behind, you can see she's holding nothing.

    • QUOTES (3)

      ADD QUOTES
      • Saffy: But Mom, menopause can be a very exhilarating and positive experience for a woman. Eddie: Oooh, yes. And the curse is a blessing and childbirth is painless.

      • Eddie (Reading from Bubble's memo): AlcoSpray gone bust, me tubby bye-bye.

      • Saffy: Now come on Mom, pull yourself together and deal with this! It can't be all that bad. Eddie: Not that bad? I've got a PR company with no clients, and a TV company with no programs! What's the good news Shirley Temple?!

    • NOTES (3)

      ADD NOTES
      • A lot of this episode was inspired by a screenplay Jennifer Saunders and Ruby Wax wrote for Goldie Hawn, which nothing ever came of but had a lot of "menopause stuff" in it.

      • It was revealed that they created the character of Katy Grin so that Horrocks could "break out of the Bubble." It was rumored that she wouldn't return to the series unless she could do something more "challenging."

      • This episode was the season finale for Season 4. There were no plans for another season at this time, but a 5th season would soon be made in 2003.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      ADD ALLUSIONS
      • n/a: Ricky Ticky Tavy
The cartoon you see on the television screen in the future is none other than the animated film Rikki-Tikki-Tavi.
