Eddie wants to have a bigger bedroom and debates which of the two walls to knock down; one leading to Saffy's room, the other to Serge's. Eddie and Patsy go into Serge's room to clear it out where Saffy discovers a copy of Razzle amongst his magazines (thankfully not the one that Patsy appeared in!). Despite Saffy's objections about the magazine, Eddie leafs through it and realises that it has been awhile since she has had sex. Patsy talks her into hiring two male prostitutes on the night that Saffy has a presentation at school, both of which don't go off as smoothly as they would have liked.moreless

Eddie and Patsy plan an orgy. But Murphy's Law begins and what can go wrong will. There's a drag queen, a missing video and stiff spray that ends up in the wrong place, not to mention the fact that Eddie doesn't even want her manhoe's sitting on her couch or touching her Chanel boots much less having sex with her.
We get to see the inside of Serge's room. It's been so long since Eddie has seen her precious son that she doesn't even recall what he looks like, although she did help an unemployed person get a job on TV when she thought he was Serge.
Saffy advocates safe sex and finds out that her fello students would much rather watch porn than a film about genetics and ethics. Bubble gets sassy with Eddie and a drag queen looks just like Patsy, the beginning of a trend on this show.moreless

    ADD TRIVIA
    • During the first scene in the kitchen, there are continuity errors with Edina's cigarettes. Cigarettes were a continuity nightmare on the series as the characters smoked so much and many takes of scenes were necessary.

    • As Patsy and Edina run down the stairs during the episode's final kitchen scene, one can see several camera flashes which reveal a photographer taking their photograph.

    • When Edina is wearing the pink coat and shows Patsy what she will be wearing for the evening, they say she needs to change. However, a close-up reveals the same pink neckline of the outfit she is wearing in the next scene after (supposedly) changing.

  • QUOTES (2)

    ADD QUOTES
    • Patsy (about Saffy): One child punishes you by leaving, the other punishes us ALL by staying.

    • (Watching Eddie & Patsy looking through the Razzle magazine) Saffy: It's disgusting. It is so degrading to women! Patsy: What do you mean, she's got the whip?

  • NOTES (2)

    ADD NOTES
    • Both of Edina's children are apparently Star Trek fans. A model of the Starship Enterprise is seen in Serge's room. Another model of the Enterprise is seen in Saffy's room in the first series episode "Magazine." Ironically, during her study group meeting in this episode, Saffy fails to recite the Star Trek slogan "To boldly go where no man has gone before" correctly, instead saying, "To go boldly beyond what man has gone before."

    • This was the first episode to have actual nudity in it. It was deemed "too adult" for the BBC, and wasn't allowed to air until the nudity was faded out. Since the first showing, the BBC has lightened up, and the episode aired the full version in 2000.
