According to Bex

Show Summary

According To Bex stars Jessica Stevenson as Bex Atwell, a secretary who's stuck in an 'almost' world - almost in a relationship, almost in a good job, almost a size 10/12. Bex is trying to figure out what a smart woman is supposed to do in a world where men behave like... men, but the more she discovers the more infuriating they become! Bex's boss Charles doesn't acknowledge relationship boundaries; her on/off boyfriend Ryan is worried that she's "trying to corral his seed"; and her womanising father, Jack, has regressed into one of the lads. With the help of her acerbic friend Chris and her subversive office mate Jan, Bex tries to work out what men are all about and why women even bother to try working them out in the first place.

  • Another British Comedy...

Yet another British Comedy to hit our screen for a few weeks and then disappear of the face of the planet. This was a show along the lines of the American show 'Less Than perfect' yet it had British wit and humour. Jessica Stevenson was very good in the lead, however this show was probably the low point of her career. The idea was good but it just didn't seem to fan out right. Perhaps it was just at the wrong time for a show like that to hit our television screens. Either way its worth a watch once even if you forget it two minutes later.moreless
  • I think they do not give the new girl enough credit on the show!! They act like because she is younger she does not know what she is talking about.

I think they do not give the new girl enough credit on the show!! They act like because she is younger she does not know what she is talking about. This morning they were talking about the morning after pill, and she said her concern would be that people would take it at the wrong time. Well my sister was a college student and took the morning after pill to late, and she had a miscarriage!! Now she is a teacher and has a child of her own, but had to have her child c-section because the lining in her uterus was damaged do to the miscarriage. So maybe they should stop acting like she does not know what she is talking about and listen somtimes!!! You are never to old to learn from younger peoplemoreless
  • AS Bill Clinton would say it: "It's ver' funny"

According to Bex is a funny show. It has original british comedy and funny jokes. It's an office sitcom like "Less that Perfect" but it's british. I loved to watch this show but for some strange reason, it was cancelled. I don't understand why british sitcoms are awfully short these days. I think this lasted a week longer that "The Robinsons".
  • Wowzas

This scary thing posing as a comedy is cringe worthy! The parts were she speaks into camera are sad, her acting is wooden and i don't see whats funny about a woman being insecure about her looks and weight. This story line "i'm at a certain age, think i'm fat and i go out with losers so i can feel good about myself, then collapse hopelessly when it goes wrong after 2 weeks seems to be the in thing. It was not that funny when Bridgit Jones did it and being rehashed endlessly doesn't make it any more easy to bear. I beg you all don't watch so there's no chance of it raising again and coming back to haunt us. Instead they should brings back classic's such as the Two Ronnies etc... comedy's that are not all smart arse, PC crud that we are sadly churning out today.moreless
