While Lady Illusion keeps Ace and Sparx busy at Thunder Tower, Lord Fear, Dirty Rat and Pigface take the fight to Mark and try to break into his house and take care of him once and for all while he's babysitting his cousin Ashley (the only other person who knows about Ace and the other characters).moreless

Not exactly a high point for the show. The villains show some smarts by isolating Mark from his hero friends before they move in, but they also show themselves to be hopeless failures who are defeated by their own incompetence instead of any need for Ace to get involved. I much prefer the camping episode where the villains are shown to be dangerous and fended off when Mark and his father use their brains to get rid of them. If I was younger I might have appreciated the comedy more, but as it is I'd rather the villains hadn't defeated themselves.moreless

They were probably going for comedy with this episode, instead I felt like they wre trying to undermine their villains in any way they could. They get stuck in chimneys, fried by thinking the fuse box is full of candy, and forgetting about catching Mark and getting his amulet fragment to attack the pizza guy's van. I suppose the kids who laughed at Home Alone laughed at that, but for me I wondered again why Lord Fear is really such a menace when the villains perfectly defeat themselves without Ace having to do a thing. Certainly not the high point of this series.moreless
