This episode might be the low point of the first season. Why would Ace agree not to keep an eye on things when Mark's whole class was on the villains' home grounds? Why does he tell Sparx he's not going to the carnival to help the kids until his own personal lifeline is working again? Realizing that Lord Fear is trying to keep them away from the carnival seems all the more reason the superheroes should be there. It almost seems like the show is trying to punish Sparx when she goes to keep an eye on the kids without the transformer working and gets caught. I'm all for the regular people getting a chance to be heroes, but why do the superheroes have to be so unheroic?moreless
