    A good start to the show. Mark Hollander has arrived in America from England. He soon meets Samantha and makes friends with Chuck Mugel. One night he plays his favourite game starring a hero named Ace Lightning, the goal of the game is to get the Amulet and to defeat Lord Fear. All of a sudden the satelite get's struck by lightning and the characters come out of the game and into real life!! Is this really happening!?? Lord Fear and his minions fight Ace Lightning but soon they manage to escape and find a new carnival to stay at. Mark helps Ace Lighting, who believes that Mark is one of the Lightning Knights and gives him a piece of the Amulet. I bet Mark's pen pal would want to know about this!!moreless

    • Ace's Breakages: Cars battery, Mark's bedroom window

    • There were characters that never made it into the series, including a living Cupie Doll; evil balloon creatures; Buzzbeast who was a mutant dinosaur creature with saws embedded in his body; Scrambler (who could have been an early design for Kilobyte); a quintet of unnamed grunts who disguise themselves as carnival toys; and Mortar, described as a rock-like construction worker. A character who was going to appear in the cancelled Season 3 was Candy Floss, a woman who dressed like a motorcyclist and was described as attacking with an archery set, using explosive lollypops as arrows and could shoot out webs of candy floss.

    • Trivia: The haunted house in Duff's carnival and the one in the actual Ace Lightning computer game look exactly alike. Quite a coincidence.
