21 cakes in a week? Sounds like a lot, but for Duff Goldman and his crew, it's just a normal week at Charm City Cakes. With cakes shaped like Jeeps, game consoles, fish and a special cake for the Preakness Horse Race; this is no easy task - can Duff and his crew pull it off in time?

  • Duff Replicates a building for the Preakness

    "Superb"
Duff and crew have a lot of cakes to make in such a short amount of time. The most important is the cake for the Preakness Race. Duff and crew have 21 cakes to make in one week, each telling a story as Duff puts it. Geoff makes a Jeep. The Jeep is way cool and the person who recieves it just rips into it. Geoff doesn't look to happy to see the wheels being ripped off his cake. Duff delivers the cake to the Preakness and the cake is identical to the building he replicated earning him most deserved praise.moreless

    ADD QUOTES
    • Mary-Alice: When people call, they need to talk to me first. I am the gatekeeper.

    • Mary-Alice: (on the phone with potential client) Well, we kinda specialize in not small and not simple.

    • Geof: I try to never do these things the same way twice. And, looking at the one I did a couple years ago, I think I can do a better job. Duff: What, that green one? Geof: Yeah. Duff: I did that. Geof: I didn't think that really looked like something I did.

    • Duff: Every cake we make, like everything has a story, there's always a reason why someone wants something in particular. And, I think the reason that the people that seek us out are attracted to what we do is because they know we can do anything they want.
