A.D. is the TV miniseries epic that follows the earliest experiences of the Christian church. The series is the third and final installment of the trilogy which began with Moses the Lawgiver and Jesus of Nazareth. The series takes place in the years A.D. 30-69, and shows the powerful story that is adapted from Anthony Burgess's novel The Kingdom of the Wicked. Chronicling the life and adventures of the disciples of Christ after his death, the series shows the events of Rome during the reigns of Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius and Nero. The story tells the life histories of Saint Peter and Paul of Tarsus, in the time after Jesus was crucified. See what happens after Man of Nazareth and the crucifixion of Jesus, as Christianity develops as a religion separate from Judaism. The story shows the Great Fire of Rome, the persecution of the Christians, the destruction of the second temple, and many more history changing events of the landmark era.
