  • A Christmas episode from the inauguaral season of the popular police drama Adam 12.

    10
One of the best Christmas episodes of any TV series. Malloy, (played to perfection by Martin Milner) is a straightlaced veteran police officer. Shows that he has a softer side by his willingness to split the cost with his partner, Officer Jim Reed (played by Kent McCord) of a yellow toy dump truck for little Harvey. The child of a needy family. While the family car getting stolen does make for a more dramatic setting, the day is saved when the car thief is captured in the same episode. The true story of what the yuletide holiday is all about. Definate must see television for the holidays.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • At 8:56 in the episode, as Malloy and Reed start to chase a drunk driver in a green Chevy SS through the studio backlot, the house used for the TV show The Munsters can be clearly seen center frame directly behind the cars as they drive past camera.

    • After giving Mr. Haines a breath test, Malloy remarks that he blew a 3-1. There is a problem with this reference in that if he's referring to .031, that's far below the usual legal requirement of .08 which is almost universally accepted as the point of impairment. If Malloy actually means a .31, that level is almost four times over the legal limit and technically the person with that much alcohol in their system would be dead or unconscious and near death with massive organ failure.

  • QUOTES (2)

    • Reed: Pete, you know, sometimes you really confuse me.

Malloy: You don't believe everything I say, do you?

      Reed: Pretty much, yeah.

Malloy: Well you should, except when I'm talking through my hat!

    • Reed: (to drunk driver about to take breath test) Mr. Haines, are you sick or injured?

Haines: (slurring strongly) Wha..ah..ya..you're confused..uh..I'm not ssick...I'm SSSMASHED!...nice uh you ta ask, though...
