The "Ferret" story line's pretty entertaining, and for a Jack Webb show to have an environmental message is a pleasant surprise, maybe even what you'd call cutting edge. They could have gone way overboard on the whole "Ferret" character but did a more professional approach. The snotty business man talking about the economy while he's killing off the planet is made all the more sad by realizing it's 40 years later, and how much worse the situation is now. We need more Ferrets.
The bit about the pregnant women eating clay on the other hand is pretty typical Hollywood "Jeez, people from the south sure are stupid, aren't they?" crapola. Even the 70s people from Mississippi weren't falling from this bunkum. The "Rev. Sabeth" character's pretty damn ridiculous.
Trouble and terror will soon be your's!
