It looks as though Adrian is going to have to support Pandora through a sex scandal in the media. Ex boyfriends and lovers are all eager to have their say about the time they have spent with the beautiful MP. Deep down, Pandora knows that Adrian will be there for her, just as he has always been and he is glad that she is aware he can be counted on when she admits in an interview that she was indeed a 'free spirit' when it came to her sexual behaviour and that she often had more than one lover at a time. Adrian considers her very brave to admit all this and knows that it could potentially destroy her fledgling career as the new Prime Minister doesn't need sex scandals so soon after the election.
To make matters worse, George finds out about Pauline and Ivan's affair and Tania Braithwaite also learns the shattering news. Before the publicity can harm either of them, Pandora and Adrian issue a joint statement announcing the 'engagement' of Mrs Pauline Mole and Mr. Ivan Braithwaite. Adrian and Rosie are both disgusted when Ivan moves into their house but Rosie has problems of her own when she reveals to her brother that she is pregnant and that the child's father is a member of the Hell's Angels. On top of Princess Diana's tragic death and a decidedly luke warm reception to the first televised episode of 'Offally Good', Adrian is again wondering how much more he can tolerate. When he hears that an episode of the show upon which he cooked Belgian Faggots has greatly offended the gay community of that country, he is at a loss to decide what to do about it.
The offer of a book deal connected to 'Offally Good' is a happy note in the works and Adrian signs up with Barry Kent's agent, Brick Eagleburger, an American who seems to know his stuff so perhaps Adrian will have fame and income after all.
