  • The Story of Ice King and Marce

This was an awesome episode. It basically explores Marceline's and the Ice King's past. Most of the focus is on the Ice King. This is one of Adventure Times best episodes and really fleshes out the Ice King as a charater. Oddly enough, Ice King is the main "semi" villain in this show and yet he is one of the most developed and loved imo. The rendition of the Cheers theme was icing on the cake.moreless
  • Wow. That's the only thing I can say.

This episode is one of my favorite of Adventure Time. And its had a fair share of doozies.

PLOT: Ice King goes over to visit Marceline to try to come up with a song, bringing up nothing for himself, but everything for Marceline.

I'm shocked to say that I was tearing up during this. Not only did it explore the mind-bottling past of Marcy and Simon, but the song really showed her emotions for Simon too.

"I Remember You" looked like one of those goofy episodes from the promos. Before this, we've never seen any interaction between Ice King and Marceline. I think I started tearing up when Marceline read the message from Simon. "Wow, I wrote that?" "What?! You don't remember what it means?" Such powerful dialogue between Ice King and Marceline. I love how you can hear the desperation in her voice, yearning for the old Simon back.

The duet was nonetheless powerful. And the flashback... come on. How can you NOT cry while watching that? It revealed that her beloved Hambo (Marceline's stuffed bear) was given to her at a young age by Simon Petrikov.

There are so many emotions from this episode!! It's considered powerful writing when an episode of ADVENTURE TIME, of all shows, forces you to bite your lip.

Overall, one of the best episodes of the show. I'm so excited for "Simon and Marcy"!moreless
