Adventure Time

Ok, this show is really great but needs one essential element for the needs of action-comedy cartoon.

Plot: The plot is really great, as the place takes place after the nuclear war, a.k.a the mushroom war. Some of the species began to fade away or mutate. Some are still around in high numbers, but humans are almost extinct, but one of them remains, Finn. The protagonist of this series. Along with is dog friend Jake. They prevent Ice King from capturing princesses and his other schemes.

Character: The characters have their own personality, background and their own story. and there's not much of a down there, Finn is heroic, Jake is described as "bombastic", (for me he's funky) Princess Bubblegum has a medieval trait, Marceline is somewhat mysterious, and likes to pull a joke on people, and hard to be intimidated. Ice King is somewhat twisted, he tells that he's doing those things because he's really depressed. (He haven't seen his wife for years)

Humor: Needs an improvement for it's own humor, it's bland. However, the show becomes really great when it references memes or internet cultures, like the trollface, the genderbent episode, and more. Pendleton Ward is part of e-culture.

Art: Simple yet good, the characters remain their looks even their face is simple, their body isn't detailed much. As for me, Marceline looks really good.

Overall: 7. All it needs is a little dash of it's own better humor.

I thought this show was cute and amazing at first, now its gotten old! I blocked this show on my TV! And it appears everywhere! And people say this is a kids show? GIVE ME A BREAK!!! It has bad language, and characters die but then come back to life and start crying! Isn't that pathetic? The same thing keeps happening over and over again! They always win! Boring! I mean at first Adventure Time was cool when Finn and Jake won all the time! I know Regular Show can be inappropriate for kids like this... But Regular Show is Infinety Times better than this! Adventure Time is going to be with those shows that a lot of people hate like Fanboy and Chum Chum, Planet Sheen, Johnny Test, Mr. Meaty, The Mighty B!, Almost Naked Animals, The Problem Solverz, Out of Jimmy's Head, Hero 108, M.A.D, and Sidekick!!! Some of them are canceled so they would not be there anymore! I don't know if this show shall be the number 1 worst cartoon in history yet on my list of worst cartoons ever made! Otherwise I'll get bad reviews by users on youtube! When Adventure Time starts getting despicable, It will be number 1 stupidest show ever! Sofare Fanboy and Chum Chum, The Problem Solverz, and Almost Naked Animals are the most hated cartoons these days, so one of them will be the number 1 worst show in history sofare in the present! The Characters like Ice King, Princess Bubblegum, Donny, Finn, Jake, The Jiggler, and The Candy People are sofare the most annoying characters on the show! Then there are creepy-looking characters like The Lord of Evil, Rainicorn, Jake, The Jiggler, Finn, The Ogre who was angry about his dollar being stolen, Actually all characters in this show have all problems and flaws! Ever since Squirrel Boy came to Cartoon Network in June of 2006, Cartoon Network was going downhill! When Flapjack, this show, 6teen, stoked, and Johnny Test came, Cartoon Network got even worse!!! Every show that came on Cartoon Network after Squirrel boy in June 2006 is horrible! I'm really sorry fans! I hate this show with all my heart! I'd rather be injured and loose nearly all my brain cells than watch 1 second of this show! I even get nightmares of it! If there's something wrong on Planet Earth, Blame Adventure time! Nothing Else! Don't go telling me to like this if your a fan of it! Cause otherwise I'll not be sorry! And I'll feel bad for you for wasting your life! Waste your time watching this if you do not forgive me for hating this show! Just Don't spoil my opinion people! I can hate whatever I want! I'm so sorry fans! I gave it a chance! I REALLY DID!!!

This and Regular Show are like the best shows ever!

I don't wanna say this show is lame, but it's not the best of shows. Regular Show is better but I like this show. The problem with Adventure Time is that, it just lowers in humor. There is just really stupid episodes like The Silent King, Crystals Have Power, Blood Under the Skin and The Eyes. Also, Adventure Time is stealing Regular Show's style. Like the writing in Crystals Have Power. They also started saying "Yeah-uh!" which is Mordecai (Regular Show)'s catchphrase. Also, Finn said "I'm not gonna spank your hams" when people showed Finn their butts so he could spank them. I believe this is similar to when Rigby said "We don't wanna pull our hammies, you know what I'm saying" (Season 1, Episode 4) . Although, there different because Finn was talking about butts and Rigby was talking about hamstrings. I think Pen Ward is stealing JG Quintel's material. In conclusion, Season 1 is the best, Season 2 sucked and maybe Season 3 will be better. I'm starting to not like this show...

I used to like this show. But now? Eh... Obviously I'm going to get thumbs don't for this. But I just got tired of it. It used to be fun, but now it's just drama about Finn's crush o.o
I mean isn't this supposed to be a comedy? And I getting really sick of the people at my school who won't shut up about this. Especially the "Marshal Lee" fan fictions. Even though I honestly think he's a cute animation character myself x3

The only reason I don't like this show is because Finn always shouts out "What time is it? What time is it?" I would say "Time to change the channel!" The animation looks as if 3 year olds drew it! This show makes Squirrel Boy look like a masterpiece! Sorry, fans of this show. It's my opinion.

Wow this is one good show! It's about a teenage boy named Finn and his dog Jake who can change into any size going on adventures and trying to save others from destruction! This show is absolutely hilarious! The animation is amazing! I think it's better than some of CN's classics which now air on Cartoon Planet every Friday night! Well if you're looking for a awesome show I recommend you this show. It's spectacular!

I absolutely love Adventure Time, everything about it is cute, original, interesting, and funny. The characters are all unique and adorable. I personally think it is way better than Regular Show, it's just so awesome! People of all ages can watch it!

This show, in my opinion, is the best show ever to be aired. It's creative funny, and actiony. It's got all the things people want in a show :D. So, Review Time!

Characters: All unique with their different personalities. They're designed nicely, and they all respond to the other characters in some way (like Finn and Jake being best friends, while Marceline and PB hate eachother in a way xD).

Plots: Fun and silly. Some episodes are dark, while the others are amazingly bright. The episodes really fit any age, if you ask me, because none of them are bad, or too geeky. Some shows, like Family Guy, are on for so long, they run out of ideas (don't get me wrong, I love Family Guy <3), but this never seems to run out, always throwing interesting episodes.

Art: The characters and background are designed uniquely. I love they way they look! It's not bad art at all, and it's cute and creative. I have not one complaint about it.

Summary: This show is great, and I don't know why anyone wouldn't like it. It's cute, creative, and unique. It never fails to make me laugh, and it's not stupid like some of those TV shows with the artifical laughing sounds at things that aren't funny >.>
Anyways, Adventure Time deserves better ratings than 7.6! Come on now. Don't hate it. It's awesome :).

It was spring 2010. I was just watching the stale channel CN when the teaser trailer for this commercial showed up. After it ended, I was amazed. I mean, I haven't seen anything good since the Ed, Edd n Eddy movie, so I couldn't wait to see this show.
About 3 weeks later, I watched the series premiere. After watching the intro, I was sold. However, I regret that. The episode's humor was like 3rd Grade bathroom jokes, and the story wasn't that good, eiether. Well, I still gave it a chance, because a lot of good shows have had their share of bad premieres. Well, the 1st Season was flat out garbage. It's a shame, too, since Jake is a pretty cool character and the candy bright animation is a feast for the eyes.
Now, things like this are normal for CN. They haven't had anything good lately (except for Regular Show). I would normally give this show the lowest rating I can, but since the animation was so fantastic, I should give it a little credit.

The artwork and animation quality of this show is way off the chart. Name me one western animated series that beat this series on art quality. THERE'S NONE.

This even remains me of Miyazaki's creations.

I love this show. The weirdness is what makes it so funny and unique.From the facial expressions to that annoying background music, all the little things that dont make sense, are what make the show. I do agree with some however, that this show is not for young children. There hidden sexual references and replacement words used frequently. That aside, the show is awsome for all other ages. And to those who say they cant understand why someone could hate it, I completly understand why, for all the reasons we like it. You either hate it or love it, i love it. Simple.

Ok I think this is a fair show on Cartoon Network. Now Come on this show dosen't deserve a 1. You gotta give a chance and I'm sure you might find it a little funny. I Find it funny. Now everyone says that this show is better than Regular Show. This is not even near as good as Regular Show. Now I'm sure they're saying that because now days Adventure Time is trying to be like Regular Show. But it's failing I like the old ones better than the news ones though. Now the characters are Finn, Jack, Ice King, Princess Bubblegum Marceline. And more characters. Now my favorite character would have to be Jake. He makes me laugh really hard. Now there are some scary images like Finn having eyeballs popping out of his mouth and more. But seriously give this show a chance I mean watch at least 5 episodes and if you hate it and hate it but I gave it a chance and I enjoyed it. But its not the best show on Cartoon Network. Regular Show is still the number 1 best show on Cartoon Network. Overall 6.5/10.

honestly i love this show, its one of my most favorite things...."why", you ask...well i have no idea!, but people need to stopping hating on it,...its a CARTOON its supposeddd to be silly and honestly i think its just as good as the 'greats'(whom i love endlessly!!!,.... catdog, johnny bravo, powerpuff girls, ren and stimpy, rockos modern life, dexters laboratory, all that shit :))

but WHY is it good? theres LOADS of reasons! although some things take a little bit of deeper looking to find...

*The art
-its adorable,colorful,and simple. it stands out amongst other shows just by that alone

*dumb humor
-sometimes it very silly and makes you go, "whaaaaaa...?", but it still manges to make me giggle

*The fact that its super strange
-in a good way :)
-It kind of restores your imagination to you,... like when you were a kid! makes you think up strange monsters and silly stories(more important if your an artist like myself)

*character development
-most people watch it and go "wtf?!?!?!" And dont look to far into it
-....but when you do you see characters with full personalilties and histories, unlike most other cartoons
-this takes alot of time to find though, ive been watching it for awhile, so its easier for me to see

*LOTS of innuendos
-sometimes you need to put your perv hat on, but you can find a sexual innuendo in just about EVERY episode

* and lastly.......even if you absolutely HATE it, it is interesting enough in some way to have captured your attention, postive or negitave...so the producers obviously done good in THAT department

If you've only seen one or two episodes, or even a good 5-7,you really still haven't given it enough time to grow on you...OR maybe you've just seen the wrong episodes, i even hate a few episodes, and i honestly think i must be one of the biggest fans out there LOL,

...why do some of you not find it funny? maybe your just boring, unfunny people with no imagination?

but in the end, it is JUST a silly cartoon, and just like EVERYTHING else on earth, not everyone can find a reason to enjoy it

first time seeing it? want to give it a second chance?...my favorite episodes! hopefulyy these help to change your mind!!

I have watched about 7 episodes And it has to be one of the worst shows i've watched it's not funny it has a boring story line the characters Finn and Jake aren't as bad as some i've seen but still it just does not compare too the shows that use to be on CN if you like the show i have nothing against you i just don't like the show myself

I just absolutely adore Adventure Time!! It has helped Cartoon Network become one of the most popular kids channels!!!! Most of my friends watch the show and talk about how awesome it is!! Finn and Jake are two bros who go on crazy adventures that are funny, crazy, violent, and just plain awesome. The people who created this show just never run out of ideas. The animation in this show is hard to describe in a good way. It's surreal and cartoonish but it also has a realistic side. This show is just so special in it's own way. It has helped CN become one of the great kids channels in TV history.

Adventure Time is an interesting cartoon. I know that a lot of people were looking forward to this show, since Cartoon Network had some good shows and people thought that maybe Cartoon Network would once again claim its rightful crown among the great channels. Some people were disappointed, while others were astounded. I myself thought that it was a very unique cartoon. Of course, its not perfect, and I doubt that I would deem any show a 10. But anyways, let's move on to the actual review.

The premise, like the show's title says, is pretty much about a boy named Finn and his magical dog,, Jake, who go on some pretty cool adventures. They may fight evil monsters, go inside a video game, find glasses that make them super-smart etc. Even though it sounds unoriginal and generic, it pulls off the episode in a refreshing way and adds extras here and there to prevent you from thinking, "Oh, this show sucks. I'm going back to Phineas and Ferb..." Instead, it might surprise you with some pretty random moments, and like Regular Show, it's usually a good kind of surprise.

The characters and various creatures are probably this show's best feature. The character designs are all original and are very different. There's vampires, ogres, living candy, and a whole bunch of cool stuff. It's similar to the colorful variety of characters in the Amazing World of Gumball, in the way that all the characters interact in a interesting environment.

And finally the humor. This is where Adventure Time is flawed. Although there are a few funny moments throughout the episode, for the most part, there isn't really too much humor, unlike Regular Show, which sticks in laughs at just the right moments.

Ultimately, Adventure Time is a great show with good characters and an interesting premise. Though it's not the best show for watchers who need a good laugh, it's still a good show and better than a lot of the other junk that Cartoon Network is airing right now.

I have never seen such an obnoxious and just plain flat out horrible show in my life.

I mean, a guy spanking people for fun? Finn and Jake enjoying the fact they got their necks bit by a vampire?

What is wrong with these writers? Were they on drugs when writing these episodes?

I mean, my goodness! This is just staggering bad!

The plot is mostly ***ed. The characters are hideous. And worse yet, I get no sense of adventure from the show at all.

You want to know how bad this show is? I got a more sense of adventure from watching Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, and that was basically a slapstick comedy.

Well done, producers. You really made a wonderful show for us all to watch.

There is no doubt, and nobody can tell me that when standing side by side with Powerpuff Girls, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Dextar's lab, toonami, Johnny Bravo, and the old cartoon network lineup that Adventure time would even come CLOSE to being as good quality as those shows. The bad lineup of today's Cartoon Network, and lack of good quality is the show's saving grace. After one is able to look at the terrible anatomy, poorly getting to mediocre dialogue and storytelling, the show is not that bad. Also, the bright colors and character design is unique, and cool, but it is still doesn't stand a chance against the greats. I like adventure time. It's not the best, but it's not terrible either. Give it a try. The Fiona episode is the one I really enjoyed. I really liked the charachter designs of Prince Gumball, Marshall Lee, and Fiona and it was funny. Other than that, the rest were okay. Give it a shot, it is a good watchable show.

This show really is awful. If it was targeted towards young adults and run in the relevant time slot, I wouldn't be so upset. However this show is being targeted towards very young children and the subject matter is incredibly inappropriate. Combined with inane dialogue and vapid story lines, you have a recipe for disaster. My wife actually gets angry when she hears the commercials and we've chosen to block the show on our television. Don't take my word for it, please exercise true Parental Guidance and watch this WITHOUT your kids if that is your inclination. I doubt any responsible parent would sit through two episodes or allow their children to see another one after seeing it themselves.

When I first heard of Adventure Time, I was rather excited. I thought it sounded cool that CN was going back to doing what they did best and create unique original cartoons. After seeing a few episodes, I thought the show wasn't too bad, but it needs some work done. The premise is that a boy named Finn and his dog, Jake, go out and do adventures, save princesses, and fight evil kings and monsters. Story wise, the show sounds generic and uninteresting, but it actually has some new things added to it. The artwork and animation looks really good; characters designs look original, the animation is smooth, and there are plenty of things in each scene that will catch your eye. The episodes themselves are original and are pretty interesting to watch. The various creatures in this show are also interesting to see and there is a variety of them. Where the show starts to fall apart though is the humor. While there are some funny moments here and there, there really aren't that many humorous moments in the show. The voice acting needs a little work as well, there are just some characters that don't sound like who they are supposed to be. Then in some episodes, they are episodes I have seen on TV already and aren't that interesting. Adventure Time, while it is a pretty good show, needs improvements, but considering all the rest of the bad shows they show on CN and Nickelodeon, I will watch this show. Bottom line, a good show, but it needs some improvements here and there.

A boy named Finn and a wise dog, Jake, encounter multiple wacky adventures in the land of Ooo is this new Cartoon Network series. Adventure Time is one of my favorite show on Cartoon Network. It is not as perfect as Regular Show. During season 1 and 2 I thought it was superb, but now it's starting to bore in the third season. Plus I hasn't saw a rerun of it in awhile. I may still see reruns of AT if there's nothing to do. Anyway, this show doesn't relies that much on adventure on most of the episodes. Episodes that had adventure feel to it wereThe Enchiridion!,Trouble in Lumpy Space, the 22 minutes season 2 finale, etc. My favorite characters are Finn, Ice King, Lumpy Space Princess, and a couple others. I don't like Jake as much as Finn, but he's a decent character to me. As for the voice acting, I think it's great. The best performers in AT are John DiMaggio (Jake) and Tom Kenny (Ice King). The worst episode in the show isLoyalty to the Kingbecause Ice King wasn't even nice the whole time when he was the "Nice King." I don't really like Her Parents that much either (might be my second least favorite AT episode). I may review episodes of this show, but not right now. I'llprobably do it in the last 2 months of 2011. Overall, I still think it's an enjoyable show, but the recent episodes seem to bore me. 8/10 (modern rating), 9/10 (old rating)

It really depends on how your mind works. If your a strange, wacky kind of person this is one of the best shows in the world.
But if your more of a sophisticated person this show is probably going to ruin your day completely.
From the reviews it sounds like the majority of you work with the second choice rather than the first..
I for one happen to be the first.. It's a children's show.. Thats just it.

if your a kid, this show is amazing. Face it, no one wants to watch the older cartoons anymore. yeah there was other good shows before but they got canceled like every other cartoon dose, get over it. would you rather your kid be watching South park or family guy, or a mind numbing pointless cartoon with a fantasy life and non pervy jokes? Plus it comes on at like 8, if your kids that young they shouldn't be staying up that late watching cartoons anyway.
