Finn and Jake go on a quest for a book that will prove them as worthy adventurers.

Who was the Episode MVP ?

  • Setting up the plot episode

Here's the thing with this show. Things happen which seem insignificant in itself but turns out to be huge later on. This is one of those episodes, watching this adventure is fun but serves as story build up for later. Great laughs to be had and well worth a watch.
  • This episode is perfect and it one of my favorite

I thought this episode was perfect. It is actually one of my favorite episode from the show because it felt like an adventure and that was great. Finn and Jake trying to get a book was very interesting. During their quest, there were some funny parts such as when Finn stole the money from that giant monster, Jake punching the guys that attacked the ladies after they were free, and one more that I couldn't remember. The keystone guy was very funny. Finn trying to get thru an evil ant was funny as well. The last part was interesting. Overall, a superb episode and I'm glad it had an adventure theme to it. 10/10moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • The snail appeared near Tree Trunks' picnic basket, in the scene where they hunt for the Crystal Gem Apple in the dark forest.

    • Chapter Five of the Enchiridion is "How to kiss a princess".

It reads: kissing a princess is different than kissing your grandmother or your mother... very different. A peck on the cheek is not going to cut it. Nothing but lip on lip action will suffice with a true Princess. It´s best to first practice on a lip monster, but proceed with caution because, as everyone knows, a lip monster can easily kiss you to death!

    • When Pendleton Ward was trying to sell this as a series, he would present a storyboard for "The Enchiridion" to show that an 11-minute show can retain all of the elements of the original "So Random!" short.
