Episode Summary

Lovesick Sonic
It appears to be business as usual when Sonic again gets the best of Scratch and Grounder. However, this confrontation leads Sonic to meet Breezie and love is soon in the air. Unfortunately, Breezie is actually just another Robotnik creation – meaning that the earlier battle was just a set-up. Tails can tell that something is wrong with Breezie, but Sonic refuses to listen to him. Can anything save Sonic before it's too late?moreless

  • What would Amy say?

When you think about it, it's funny. We stand here in 2007, and we Sonic fans all know that our favorite hedgehog is not a woman's guy. So, watching this episode from 1990-something provides some kind of silly smile.

Well, things are what they were. Sonic didn't even leave the Genesis console. So, who cared? Sonic was very different in that time. Let's forget 'Sonic X' for a moment and let's look at this episode from another eye.

There's Breezie. The obligatory damsel-in-distress for that kind of story. She looks like a light blue, gorgeous and developed (sic) hedgehog. She's run after by Scratch and Grounder and, as you guess it, Sonic comes to the rescue.

He brings Breezie to his camp and he's ready to satisfy everyone of her caprices, much to Tails' jealousy. This leads to a quick succession of lightning-fast encounters and adventures in exotic lands, which always provide a good laugh, either because of a visual gag or either because of a joke.

One thing that is interesting. Normally, Sonic would act as the one who would bring Tails back on Earth when the young fox gets into follies. This time, roles are switched. It's Tails' turn to take the mature role and he handles it very well, showing that he's not as childish as some would think.

A little flaw about Tails: he's thrown into the river and shouts for help because he couldn't swim well. This is a major difference from the subsequent description of the little fox, as it seems that he's in fact a good swimmer, much better than Sonic (big deal, the hedgehog hates water).

Breezie is not bad, but not very appropriate for children. Some of her elements (I'll not mention them) were unnecessary. But the plot twist about her is very good and I was surprised too. Well-plotted.

And this episode will make history because of the 'Sonic Says' segment. It makes children scratching their heads and parents wondering if they really heard what they thought they heard. Unfortunately, yes. A true historic moment. For the good or bad reasons? You decide.

I prefer to say it now: it was the first AOSTH episode that I watched. And it didn't disappoint me. I know that comparing it with 'Sonic X' is totally out-of-mind, so let's analyze it as it is. It's just nostalgic.moreless
  • Smile and say chease for Sonic.

This is one of the best episode of AOSTH. My faviorate part was when Sonic was prtending to be a photographer and takeing photos of Scrach and Grounder for a prank and to rescue Breazie the robot. Tails dosen't think too highly of her and Breazie thorwors tails in the river.

Why dose he tells Sonic to stop.
  • Not one of Sonic's proud moments.

This episode was hilarious and kept me captivated all the way through. Sonic meets a beautiful girl named Breezie and quickly falls deeply in love with her. Unbeknownst to him, she's really a robot who was sent to trick Sonic into a trap set by Robotnic.

Overall, this episode was funny, but it was kinda painful to see Sonic become a lapdog. Otherwise, it had a great ending and Breezie ended up truly falling in love with Sonic. Sadly, this will be the last time Sonic ever gets on a girl's good side, mostly because Sally hardly even exists in this series.

    Funny stuff.moreless

  • TRIVIA (6)

    • Sonic Says: Kids, there's nothing more cooler then being hugged by someone you like. But if someone tries to touch you in a place or in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, that's no good! It's your body. No one has the right to touch it if you don't want them to, so whaddaya do? First, ya say "NO!" Then, ya get outta there! Most important, you gotta tell someone ya trust, like your parents, your teacher, a police officer.

    • First appearance of Breezie.

    • First time Sonic is seen using a camera and taking a photo.

    • Goof: When Sonic first reads the map out loud, his mouth stays shut and doesn't move.

    • In the scene when Sonic is taking photos of Scratch and Grounder he holds a flash troth with flashpowder but when he takes the photo the flash dosen't go off and in the next scene when he is telling Scratch and grounder to take two steps back he is not holding the flash troth in the air. why?

    • There is a tree behind the map giving rat when Sonic meets him, but when the rat finally gives Sonic a map, the tree behind him disappears but reappears in the next shot.

  • QUOTES (0)

  • NOTES (1)

    • The "Sonic Says" segment at the end involved Sonic talking about sexual harassment and how "It's no good". This is the first time sexual harassment was ever brought up on a kid's show and soon became a fad.
