"Night of Terror" is a fine example of how great "The Adventures of Superman" could be when at its best. Lois held captive at a motel with the wife of the owner, who was murdered by the gangsters, Jimmy trying to come to their rescue, and Clark's/Superman's mad rush to try to find them before it's too late all add to the suspense. Like all the stories of the first season, it's more realistic and quite a bit more serious than many of the later episodes. It has to rank up there with the best of the entire run of the series.moreless
