Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • This is the only episode in the series where the end credits give all the characters full billing.

    • Goof: When Superman finds the hotel where Jimmy Olsen and Perry White were last seen he meets up with the Colonel who then leads him away to the cottage. While they are walking, Superman hears the woman scream and then flies back to the hotel. If you watch as he leaps over the camera you can clearly see a springboard.

  • QUOTES (1)

    • (Superman is looking for Perry and Jimmy. He grabs Macey and shakes him)
Superman: Where are they? (he shakes Macey harder) Tell me where they are or I'll break every bone in your body.

  • NOTES (3)

    • This episode marked the first of two unrelated appearances from Jonathan Hale.

This episode marked the only appearance from Rhys Williams.

This episode marked the only appearance from Cecil Elliott.

    • This is the last episode to be filmed in Season One. If you notice, the 'S' insignia on Superman's costume is torn at the edges from extensive use over 24 episodes plus the movie.

    • Phyllis Coates (Lois Lane) is not present in this episode.

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • George Taylor:
Reference is made, in this episode, to a character named George Taylor. In the comics, Clark Kent originally worked for editor George Taylor at the Daily Star, not Perry White at the Daily Planet.
