(Reading headlines from another news paper.) Perry: "Superman Turns Supercrook - Robbed store of $165." Clark: Oh Chief, it just can't be true. It must be a hoax of some kind. Must be some new type of publicity. Jimmy: Jeepers, you don't think Superman would actually go and steal from someone, do ya? Perry: Of course I know it's not true. But look, every paper in town has published it except us. And where there's smoke there's some kind of fire.
On Saturday June 11, 2005 TVLand choose this episode to represent The Adventures of Superman during its "Warner Bros 50th Anniversary Marathon", celebrating the 50th anniversary of the movie studio's tv division.(Although this episode was made 53 years earlier, having been made by another studio and later aquired by WB.)
George Reeves (Clark Kent) does a double role in this episode.
