The cardboard box that the pigeon arrives in appears to have two different lids. When Clark handles it originally, it has a overhanging lid type cover. After reading the note and deciding what to do, the cover becomes a flap type.

This is one time when they show Superman flying out of the Daily Planet window from the perspective of outside the building looking in which means Superman leaps more directly to the camera. The problem is that the editor didn't cut soon enough and you can see Reeves on the descent part of his arc rather than cut earlier to give the viewers the illusion Superman was flying up.
