Did you know that Æon Flux is considered an anime? Seriously! Just its style in general. The plotlines with their crazy endings and the art style detailed in ways other animated shows are not. I think that's really cool!

as per my understanding, there are only two requirements that a show would have to pass, in order to be an "anime"

    1- be animated (check)
    2- be japanese

i was pretty sure that aeon flux was a cartoon form the US.

Silly! Anime is an art style and a type of animation and Æon Flux falls under that category. I am serious too. This is according to Viz, anime experts!

You know what, I would actually have to agree with that statement. Also, Totally Spies!, but who watches that?

    Did you know...

I was walking around in Best Buy the other day and saw this in the family section in the DVDs. I never considered this to be family before. It must be the desensitizing of American culture.

It was probably misplaced. Usually, family fare is considered children's programming.

Oh my God!!! Me too! I was so suprised by this because I was looking for it in the MTV section because they actually have an MTV section and that makes me wonder why there is an MTV section because MTV is weird! Anyway, unless we go to the same Best Buy (I live in Southern California), then I'm sure that's everywhere. This is definitely not a family show. My family doesn't even like it, ha ha!

LOL. My family doesn't like it, either. My sister gets creeped out by anime.

Ha ha! My family isn't creeped out by anime it's just that my mom doesn't watch TV, my brother is too young to understand what's going on, and my stepdad cannot comprehend what's going on (because my education is higher than his, ha ha!). Well, actually, that last reason isn't the real reason, but it is true.

It´s more a animated show with a heavily influenced anime style, but it´s not an anime because a anime need to be made in Japan at 100% and this one was made in Canada; and the script of this show was excellent, I´m happy to have the DVD´s .

"Anime", "not anime"...it's a meaningless distinction.
