  • Trivia

    • Aesop Junior once again mentions his girlfriend, who has apparently once again broke up with him. She did the same in an earlier episode, "The Owl and the Wolf". She's never actually been seen on the show but this episode reveals that her name was Faith.

    • Despite the fact that Aesop's scroll has the moral written as "He who looses faith, looses all", at the end of the cartoon he says "He who looses faith, looses everything".

    • The moral of this story was, "He who looses faith, looses all". Aesop Junior's modified moral was, "If the stew fits, wear it".

    • Look hard: During the fable, a kangaroo wearing a barrel can be seen, also wearing a sing advertising "Eat at Joe's", an old gag seen in many cartoons over the years. The MGM theatrical cartoons directed by Tex Avery are some of the earliest to use such a gag, dating back to the 1940s.

    • Goof: Throughout the episode, both Aesop and his son's hair is colored yellow, instead of their usual reddish-brown (as seen in the opening credits).
