AfterMASH

Show Summary

AfterMASH was an attempt to continue the success of M*A*S*H using only three of the regular characters: Sherman Potter, Max Klinger, and Father Mulcahy. Mildred Potter (who had been referred to many times on M*A*S*H but never seen) and Soon-Lee were now regular cast members. Radar and Col. Flagg guest starred in the new show. Other than that, no other M*A*S*H cast member participated. AfterMASH did well in its first season, but at the beginning of the second season ratings fell dramatically. Mid-way through the season, after a number of cast changes failed to spur ratings, the series was cancelled. AfterMASH has never been re-run in syndication. A spin-off pilot called W*A*L*T*E*R, starring Gary Burghoff, was aired by CBS in July of 1984, but was never made into a television series. Nielsen Ratings: #15 in 1983-1984 Season #90 in 1984-1985 Season.
