Just wanted to canvass opinion about Julia Mackenzie.
I've never seen her in anything where she is the lead character,so I'm not sure how she will handle it.
Although she did crack me up in Cranford....with her cow in long-johns!

I'm not sure yet to be honest. I don't think I've seen her really in anything before so I don't know what she's like as an actor.
She doesn't really look like how I picture Miss Marple but I'm sure once she's in costume and make-up she'll look the part.
Suppose we'll just have to wait and see!
Lookswise, Julia Mackenzie reminds me of Angela Lansbury (of Murder She Wrote fame as well as Death on the Nile and The Mirror Crack'd).
It is interesting that both actresses have played the Mrs. Lovett role in Sweeney Todd.
