  • Wheels continue to turn! Unfortunately the story was mediocre.

In this episode, we find Mayu and Kaoru together in the same room. Before Mayu sleeps, she says goodnight to her most treasured stuffed animal of her collection, Ussa. Kaoru clearly remembers it from when he met her for the first time. In a flashback sequence, we find Mayu conversing with her parents of her upcoming birthday, but unfortunately they both have oversea duties to attend. When she tries telling them of her stories at school, they simply ignore her and tell her to go elsewhere, which fuels her to run away. Only for a short time that is, until Kaoru comes in holding the stuffed animal she dropped, and using it as a puppet to try to talk to Mayu. She talks, Kaoru listens, and he fixes most of Mayu's problems. Mayu then becomes deeply attached with Kaoru, and in the present day, they both go to sleep.

The next day, Tina and Kaoru are sleeping during a club meeting. When she realizes Kaoru is right there sitting beside her, she gets furious. When Taeko and Kaoru were walking together, Taeko brings up the subject of kissing and who they first did it with. Kaoru thinks hard for a second about the time Mayu kissed him, and they both finally reached home. Aoi is there to greet him cheerfully, yet it seems like her smiles are forced. After dinner, Kaoru and Aoi meet up in the mansion balcony, and kissed each other.

This episode could have been much better. First off, when Kaoru met Mayu for the first time, they've only met once since recently. In the previous episode, we had the impression Mayu and Kaoru went a long way and were really good friends for some time, but they've only met ONCE! I had high hopes for Mayu's character too, because she seemed like an interesting person. I also don't like how the episode ended. You'd expect Aoi to be furious, triggering a long argument between the two, but instead it ends with Aoi telling Kaoru not to apologize. I liked how it started, hated how it ended.moreless

    • Aoi and Kaoru kiss for the first time

    • This only applies in the Japanese version:

When Mayu and Tina first get into an argument, they are speaking English. Even though Tina is American and Mayu spent several years in England, both of them speak pretty poor Englsih.

  • QUOTES (2)

    • Aoi: (After Kaoru apologizes for what happened with Mayu) No one understands you. Or understands your feelings more fully than I do, Kaoru sama. No matter what may happen I believe in you and I always will. So please I ask you don't ever apologize.
      Kaoru: Aoi chan.

    • Kaoru: I'm jealous Mayu chan because you have a papa and mama.
Mayu: What about your papa and mama.
      Kaoru: They're not around.
Mayu: Their not? Than does that mean their overseas in America, Canada?
Kaoru: No, farther away than that.
Mayu: So their in France. Oh I know in England.
Kaoru: No, farther than that. Their gone much much farther away.
