Hawke is at a friend's prestigious ceremony when Archangel pulls him out and accuses him of being involved in a robbery the previous night in which items that could be used by Airwolf were stolen by thieves in a helicopter matching the Santini Air chopper. But Archangel is suspended by the Firm, who've built a new model of Airwolf Airwolf II, called 'Redwolf', and piloted by Harlan "Tex" Jenkins, who worked on the original Airwolf project and has always insisted that he, not Dr. Moffett, was the true creator. But things backfire for the Firm when Jenkins steals Airwolf II - and before he hands it over to the foreign agents he's in league with, he plans a showdown with his old rival Stringfellow Hawke; a duel that brings Airwolf vs. Airwolf...moreless

a classic episode very well plotted. love it when you see redwolf or Airwolf II and the scene when at the meeting that Archangel has been summoned to they show him the helicopter. also like the scene when Redwolf and the helicopter from Santini Air meet face to face and the pilot Jenkins challenges Hawke to a duel Airwolf vs Airwolf. and of course the aerial battle sequence between Airwolf 1 and Airwolf 2. that is an absolute classic scene. the best i think of any of the aerial combat scenes seen in all three seasons of Airwolf is that one scene with Airwolf VS Airwolf. Airwolf II is classic episode that i could watch over and again and not get bored watching it. the story is also good as well. i give this episode 11 out of 10.moreless

    • When Hawke and Archangel fight the four henchmen at the farm, an obvious stunt double is used instead of Hawke.

    • During the dogfight between Airwolfs I & II, the Sunburst defensive flare system was used offensively to blind Harland Jenkins. This was the only time this was done during all three of the Jan Michael Vincent Seasons. Note: It would seem that the Flash Blindness Prevention system was not incorporated into the Airwolf II helmet design. The system is designed to protect a pilot's eyesight when there is is a sudden intense burst of light. Hawke has such a system built into his helmet as demonstrated in the Season 1 episode To Snare A Wolf.

    • Before Jenkins shot at the security guards, you could hear him taunt them, but you could not see him mouth moving through the helmet. He was just smiling.

    • Although it was never addressed until now, and Archangel seemed pretty shady and illusive throughout his interaction with String and Dom throughout the series, they all refer to each other as "friends" in this episode.

    • When Airwolf II is blown up, if you look carefully at the bottom of the explosion, you can see a helicopter skid. Airwolf I + II didn't have skids.
