William Smith, who plays Patterson, the bad guy, in this episode, also played a bad guy in the episode "The Girl Who Fell From the Sky."
After the show was cancelled the chopper was sold to a German firm. Airwolf - as a Bell 222 - flew as an air ambulance, and eventually crashed on 9 June 1991, during a thunderstorm, killing all three passengers.
In the final aerial, the baddie takes off in a Gazelle and hides behind some trees. Moments later and throughout the rest of the aerial, it's suddenly a Huey.
The fact that Colonel Curtis was St. John's former commanding officer creates a confusing web between St. John, Stringfellow and their commanding officer(s). If Stringfellow and St. John served TOGETHER in Vietnam when St. John went MIA, that should mean they had the same commander (in the episode HX1, they were on the same mission). Colonel Vidor from And They Are Us was stated to be String's commanding officer, and in HX1, String states that he, his brother St. John, Vidor, and Mace Taggert were the only ones who knew how to execute auto-rotation on a chopper, implying that they often worked together as a unit with Vidor being in charge. So it seems that this Colonel Curtis character came out of nowhere just to have a body thrown into the story.
In the opening trailer, when Malduke backhands Mike over the railing, you can see Mike boosting himself off of a trampoline to get over the railing. During this scene in the actual episode, however, the camera angle is adjusted so that the trampoline is out of view.
Until now, nobody has ever become burnt out with working for the FIRM/Company. In this episode, St. John actually contemplates no longer working for The Company and leaving the Airwolf team.
When Hawke is thrown by Malduke on the computers of the Lair, you can see they're fake.
If you notice when they show the Tanker for the first time, you will see a Canadian Flag on the Conning Tower/Smokestack.
After Mike and Jo recover Airwolf, the standard opening shot of Airwolf is used showing one pilot, with a helmet on - next scene Mike has no helmet on. This is quite a common mistake in series 4 eventually
In the scene where Mike and Jo recover Airwolf, and Jo tells St.John "We've got Airwolf", you can hear the sound of Airwolf's rotors- unfortunately, you can see the rotors in the shot, and they ain't moving.
After Butarra was killed, the camera zoomed into his face, where he quickly blinked his eyes.
When Kimura forces Jo into the nuclear plant's restricted area, she misidentifies the Santini Air chopper as N20044C. It's actual registration number is less one zero -- N2044C.
Near the end of the show, when Mike and Jason are pursuing the doctor with the virus, it is more than obvious that the pursuit was filmed in Canada, as the markings on the street were noticeably different.
Early in the episode, Jason and Sinjin are in the lair viewing Interpol footage of "Airwolf in action" (as stated by Sinjin). Coincidentally, most of this footage becomes the ACTUAL battle at the end of the episode.
Although Jason is the leader who put together season 4's Airwolf team and hands out the assignments, in this episode, he is outranked by Sinjin (Sinjin is a now a Major, Jason is a Captain).
When Mike and Jo retrieve the video camera that was lost during Col. Coombs' rescue mission, they use Airwolf's electromagnetic wench. The magnetic field from the device should've destroyed the videotape, but they're later seen viewing it in court without any trouble.
During the phone call scene in the Lair, Sinjin and Jason are wearing the same clothing as they did in the phone call scene in "Escape."
When Mike and Jason are on their way to the factory, they pull up Lundahl's profile on the computer. Notice that there is a misspelling. It says: Lundahl Incorporated Sole Owner: Martin Lundhal.
This episode is the first time we see (what is supposedly) Jason's hand grip Airwolf's yoke, it is quite clearly the footage used for Stringfellow Hawke's hand from the original series, used with a tint to try and match Jason's dark skin.
(Also, the shot is quite clearly on the right-hand side of Airwolf, whereas Jason is sitting on the left). This shot would be used again numerous times throughout the season.
Nitpick: At the climax, why does Jason talk out loud (as Airwolf is hit, as he fiddles with the wires, etc.)? He's the only one on board, and Mike, St. John and Jo are in the Sheriff's truck escaping, so who's going to hear him?!
