Since they've done and are planning to do so many of the Disney Afternoon shows, I would *expect* they'll do this one as well.

I'm certain they will. Little Mermaid is 95% certainly coming out this fall, Aladdin may follow by Christmas. Actually, I found a site that shows all Disney's releases upcoming, that is, I'll look for the link and post it back here once I find it!

Where'd u hear about The Little Mermaid? That'd be cool if they did, there'd probably be an Aladdin preview on it. They released both the shows on VHS (two eps to a tape) back before DVDs became such a phenomenon. I can't wait for a season set of this show! Aladdin's my favourite movie, and the show's great too!

Well people were speculating that the little mermaid would come out with the special edition dvd of the first film. But it doesn't look like it will happen now. They are going to announce the little mermaid 3 though.

Unfortunately not... With the aquisition of Pixar, John Lassater cancelled the Little Mermaid 3, because he's against sequels...

hahaha I think that is bull. Just look at their line-up Brother Bear 2, Dumbo 2, The Fox and The Hound 2, Cinderalla 3, they are all coming. Plus he is doing Toy Story 3. So for a man that hates sequels he doesn't know how to hate them very well.

Yeah, all the old Disney channel cartoons were really great, specifically Aladdin and The Little Mermaid, but there's next to no hope of them ever making it onto DVD. We'll see though. I hope I'm wrong.

They should release it but if Ducktales didnt sell enough, i doubt they will be satisfied.

Unfortuanatly, Disney seems to refuse to release this show on DVD. I hate how DVDs have been invented at a time where Disney no longer cares about the past.

Does anyone know why they never finished releasing Duck Tales, Gummi Bears, Chip N Dale - Rescue Rangers, Tale-Spin and Darkwing Duck on DVD? My quess ofcause, is that they wasnt satisfied with the sales.

It was also some poor DVDs, compared to Batman the Animated Series... why don't Disney give their old cartoon tv shows the same treatment... or maybe even better. They could make some of the best DVDs ever if they just would give the shows, the respect they deserve. And come up with some cool new covers aswell.

The problem with releasing the Aladdin TV series on DVD would be the Episode order. It seems that no matter which one you use, it isnt completely logical. The same is true with Darkwing Duck since there is no Negaduck introduction episode.
