The only two-parter of the series.
Originally, Aladdin's three friends were supposed to be in the original "Aladdin" movie. There was even a song written about them. They were pulled out of the movie though when Disney exec's decided that including the three friends of Aladdin in the movie would be too time-consuming.
In the story that Aladdin tells them is not only how he met the theives, but also how he met his best friend Abu.
At the beginning of this episode, Genie uses his magic to transform himself and Iago into characters from two other Disney films: Gepetto and Pinocchio from Pinocchio and King Triton and Ariel from The Little Mermaid.
The title is a pun on the phrase "Just Like Old Times".
