Willie is opposed to Lynn getting such an expensive car without having worked for it, and demands that ALF give the car back. While they're having a family discussion about it, ALF takes the vehicle for a joyride. He returns several hours later and crashes it into the garage, causing damage - again. ALF agrees to sell the car, and in the end he "fixes" Willie's car - sort of. He repairs it so that Willie outs the car in reverse but actually flies through the garage, damaging it again.

Lynn is supposed to go to a Pretenders concert with a friend, and is angry and disappointed when she can't because the household's only car is broken down. Willie and Kate discuss Lynn getting her own car using her savings and them matching the money. Lynn gets a job at a restaurant to make some extra cash, but the strain of working and schoolwork drains her. ALF feels sorry for her and surprises her with a new car: a Ferrari, which he bought from gold parts sold from his spaceship.
